Not an easy class, this school is full of people like this. The black and white papers say something but the way they do it is completely dofferent. I have never met such a terrible teacher that changes rules every time someone does something she tjinks is wrong. Unless you already know the language she is going to fail you. She only likes students she doesnt need to teach.

Good, yet not to good. She doesn't give enough time for one to retain what they need to remember. The result is a class that gets yelled at. Overall a great teacher with great attitude. Just to many rushed tests.

Class is an absolute abomination and joke. I have personally taken the class for three years, and the class is an absolute mosh pit of unclear directions, not concise directions, and ambiguous material. It is never made absolutely clear what a test will be on, as she makes them up on the spot (aside from mandated tests based on the book). It's absolutely ridiculous, unstructured, and plainly unprofessional. Complete bull of a class--do yourself a favor, take German and get an easy A.

i didn't know any chinese and she taught me so much in chinese 1. yeah she's strict and sometimes she can be really mean to an individual person but she's not as bad as everyone says she is. as long as you try in her class you'll be alright. if she feels like you're really practicing hard enough she won't be so tough on you. she is biased at times and i feel like that is her weak point.

She is could be mean and nice. Whenever I walked to her desk to ask her stuff, she would ignore me. -.- Her tests are not very hard if you study.

If you're not Chinese, don't expect an A if you study LESS than 2 hrs everday. She is there to help you anytime. Bad side: VERY UNCLEAR on directions and due dates

She's a nice teacher overall. She just has a hard time connecting with the students! So dont bash on her! If you dont have a pretty good foundation, then it will be a little hard.

not a good teacher at all, pretty bad attitude (she called one student stupid a few times and told him to shut up), really horrible logic (especially her way of grading tests)

She loves native speakers and her IB kids. Notice who's missing - the AP students- will have the hardest time. But the workload is like 2 short paragraphs a week, which is most of your grade. If you're too lazy, it's your fault.

I have taken 4 years with her and was very happy to be in her class. She teaches us step by step. I have learned a lot. Of course, you have to study as she expects.

Although she is NICE TO THE ONES THAT ACTUALLY TRY, she goes incredibly fast teaching her Chinese 1. Also, she threatens us to drop the class, no one cares...
