Ms Piper has an extremely unfair bias against people fron Takoma, especially boys. She also has a huge ego. Like cmon, we're in the magnet. Do you really need to say you used algebraic simplification to get a quiz from 20 to 15 points? Just multiply by 3/4!!! Maybe if she lost the ego and the bias she'd be ok…
Many people think that Ms. Piper has bias against or unfair toward them. However, I see that she is fair at grading and helping everyone. There is a reason why people think this, and it is because she is tougher than most teachers on people who are insubordinate, churlish, and arrogant. Being in the magnet, we have more than a fair share of those who possesses said attitudes especially the latter. Lastly, she explains very abstract and complex concepts very well.
Unfair , grading policies not standard
Biased and discriminates
She was a pretty good teacher. She really explains the topics well. She is kind of annoying though.
She always says bad jokes, and she absolutely despises people from Takoma Park. Also, the topics covered in her class are boring, TI, Excel, Stella, but that's not her fault.
Despises Takoma Magnets and doesn't explain anything. She assigned a project and never discussed the due date, then expected it the next class. Overall terribly biased, but still nice.
you need be careful if you come from TPMS
this class sucks
Not very helpful and has strong student bias. When I had her, she hated the takoma kids, unfair. makes bad jokes, generally unpleasant. but she knows what she is teaching. not a fun class to have
kinda annoying teacher, can get pretty unreasonable about some weird stuff. also, she picks favorites, and despises kids who talk, or who went to TPMS and know some of what she's teaching. aggravating
she's a good teacher with a corny sense of humor. you'll probably like her more after freshman year.
Bad teacher. Arrogant attitude, acts as if you're stupid. FFF----
she's really boring and unhelpful, and really annoying about random stuff
class expectations: be in the lab that gets the rubric, just memorize the five programs we did during the semester, find hexadecimal words and phrases really funny
She's a good, if cold and indifferent, teacher. Excellent sarcastic humor though.
Average overall. Only a few issues with her (like when everyone loses points on things we never knew we had to do on an assignment) but things could be so much worse.
ms. piper was cool. curves some hard quizzes/test/projects. had the class magnet teacher sarcasm.
I really liked Ms. Piper... really flexible, really helpful, fair tests and grading policy. A really good teacher, I learned a lot even though I didn't really like the subject
Long tests- pay attention. Like mother duck, clucks over freshmen. Really cares, but is firm about grades. Not particularly nitpicky. Silly magnet humor, nice overall.
good teacher, but i dont like what she teaches. tests are relaly long too. say no to stella!
She's an OK teacher. Just OK. Really annoying, though.
Had her for AI... I came from another school to take the class, and she really helped me get settled, etc. It was a fun class that she taught well :)
I hated her...and still kind of do.....but when I look back she was a really good teacher.
Her average is perfect. A solid, if uninspiring teacher. Gives you a good Comp Sci foundation.
she's always there when you need to ask her questions...very very good freshman teacher
Takes the ID thing a little too seriously, but will help you with anything. Very patient and willing to do anything to help students.
Ms. Piper is extremely helpful when it comes to trouble with computer science. Staying after school with her clears everything up, and she's friendly too!
She's a good teacher, I learned so much in her class. The problems were interesting, the material was taught so well. She is definitely like the mother hen!
She's a good teacher for getting started at Blair, but there's nothing to learn in her class.
She does a good job teaching the subject. I just think that number systems and Dr. Scheme were pointless. Still, uncool about ID's
great computer science teacher if you don't annoy her
She's nice and understanding and stuff. Though some stuff she doesn't explain totally. Talks to herself in the third person...
she's not that bad... she still won't be your most popular teacher, or even one at that, but piper's helpful, just don't get on her nervez an stuff.
Ms. Piper teaches exactly what she is supposed to teach. I think she is well suited as a freshman teacher -- sort of like a mother hen.
this class is so useless to begin with... and then all she does is take random points off for lil tiny details no one cares about anyway!
she talks to herself a lot...which irked me as a freshman
Her class is a waste of time. Get in the accelerated group so you can get out of Piper's class.
