Very annoying. I dreaded going to her class last year and she made me super uncomfortable because she's so demanding and intimidating. She IS a good french, but very fast paced.
I was not a fan of the fast-paced teaching style. It is not difficult to grasp, but she really crams hour-long lessons into 40 minutes so by the end of the period you begin to disengage as it gets very monotonous. I still must say that she is very knowledgeable and answers questions when you have them. She spends countless hours preparing lessons and "Les Pré-interros" so I can appreciate her effort. If you voluntarily 2-3 questions a period, she will like you and be considerably more lenient.
She did not explain things very well and was very annoying
She is very obnoxious and she picks favorites. Her class is very difficult if she doesn't like you or if French isn't your favorite subject. She has a very loud voice that she likes to use to take command of the classroom, and she likes to yell at people that offend her. She is uncaring and tough. I dreaded going to French every day. We read Germinal second semester, and while Germinal is a thought-provoking book with many lessons and morals, she totally ruined the experience. Thumbs down.
I used to love french, but no more. S-K picks favorites and least favorites and is very obvious about them. As a favorite I can see liking her but from the other end this is not the case. I struggled in her class and when I got a tutor instead of being happy she put me down and picked on me more. This made me self conscious and I couldn't speak in class because I would start shaking and loose my french. I thought maybe this year it would be better but no. She has permanetely affected me, in a bad way.
She's a good teacher, but she definitely plays favorites. I personally felt victimized by her the entire year. I used to love French and now I dread going. She doesn't show enough respect for her students as people.
If you choose any day to do homework, make sure you have it done for "lab" days. There's no way you can get away with not doing homework. At least, it's embarrassing. One too many times has she gone "bonjour les filles!"tome
She's...let's say "expressive." The singing is ridiculous! But overall a good teacher, I think I've learned a lot from class this year.
good teacher, enthusiastic about he class, the class is a little difficult but still good
good teacher, WAY too enthusiastic with her little "oh!! tu est mon ami(e)!!!" and other phrases....seems aloof but isn't usualyl - understanding, eccentric maybe, love the culture stuff, and good
strange......Very difficult, but a good teacher. Well, unless you don't give an effort. Then she can be very intimidating/seem to hate you, which discourages you from getting help or wanting to get better at french.
such a great teacher...she is also very concerned about our feelings. she doesn't come off that way, but when i had a tough day she talked me through it. singing was funny!
She is a pretty difficult teacher, but you do learn if you apply yourself. She seems to beharsh with taking points off. Class time is exhausting; participation is graded ruthlessly.
very nice; bit hard but tries to teach lvl 4s that grades aren't everything. loves singing (argh!). is NOT mean. her noises make me laugh! respects our time-not many teachers do...
shes very nice, always was willing to help me when i didnt do so good on a test. a good teacher
she and me weren't on the same page. when i went in for help she was never really helpful, almost like she didn't care if we did bad
S-K is prejudiced, petty, and way too full of herself. She writes abysmal multiple choice questions, and I can tell you from experience that if the entire class fails a quiz, she will not go over anything, give it again, and will count both scores.
She's very nice. It's hard to make French good, but I've learned a lot this year
Not as bad as people say, class isn't easy but if you work hard it's not too tough to get an A
um i actually really like her. i think its true though... if she doesnt like you she treats you differently. but i dont think that it really effects how well you do in the class.
pretty much shes only nice to you if she likes you, and if you have any questions, too bad cuz she wont help
just get to know her she is awesome, totally willing to help you outside of class and quite possibly the best teacher ive ever had, down to earth and amazing
She was incredibly cruel and openly mocked kids that had difficulty. I fear for poor children that are taught by her, God Save Them.
she thinks everything she is saying is soo interesting while im falling asleep and the only thing that keeps me awake is her yelling in that highpitched scream
