Maggio is a knowledgeable teacher who gives meaningful lectures. I totally do not agree with some of the other reviews on here about him. The negative reviews are all written by kids from the ghetto who do not value a good teacher. Kids from the ghetto also do not understand how to distinguish between a good and bad teacher.

He will lecture you to death and the class is sleep worthy most of the time, but sometimes...SOMETIMES what he says is interesting. He is a cool dude though.

He is a very cool and funny person, but tends to go off on tangents and get lost in his own opinions and stories, which take away from the curriculum. But overall I love his class :)

He knows alot and has respectable views. But he seriously cannot teach. He basically comes into class (late) rants, then leaves. Expects you to do well on exams based on all self study hw...

He's the worst teacher to have for a regents class he never taught my sophmore US history class. He talks about his opinions rather than what kids have to know to pass the regents. Goes off in tangents

he needs to stop bringing his opinions into every conversation we have, and start actually teaching us things that relate to the subject.

Mr.Maggio knows when to be serious and funny. There is a time and place for everything and he makes sure that us (the students) knows that. I like learning from him.
