APUSH involved A LOT of work. You have to know what you're doing. Tests and essay's are really hard, and they are the basis of your grade. But, Woogie made me love the class and history. You learn so much from her lectures, and many times I would ace her quizzes without reading the textbook but just listening to her. Her lectures are so interesting and I looked forward to them every day. One of the most difficult classes I've taken, but if you put in the work, it's definitely worth it.
This class was the hardest course I have taken in my life. Woogie is very knowledgeable of the subject, but she expects people to have a lot of knowledge as well. She is extremely judgemental of those who do not know what they are doing (AKA myself). This is easily the worst decision of my life, I regret taking this class, and I hope I at least passed the AP exam. I now hate history.
Favorite teacher of all time. The class is hard but her students have an incredible high AP test passage rate. She's so enthusiastic. If you go in with an open mind and aren't afraid to ask for help, this class will be rewarding.
If you've taken AP World, this class is definitely a smidge easier, albeit still somewhat difficult. People cheat A LOT, and if you're reading this Wohlgemuth, I hope you can devise a way to fix this. By the end of the day pretty much at least 1/3 of the class knows what's on the quizzes, making it really unfair for earlier periods. There is not much EC in this class, so take advantage of it whenever you can. Overall, she is a good, energetic teacher who puts in her best efforts.
She's nice and genuinely cares about her students and the class, but she seems to get really carried away on weird tangents. Pay attention to her lectures, almost all her quizes are connected to small topics from them. DBQ's will wreck your grade unless you write it exactly the way she wants you to, and I mean EXACTLY. Woogie's pretty cool I guess, she laughs really hard at the weirdest stuff though...
too partial to mock trial ppl -_-
haha she is so hot. her class is ver hard doe kno wa ma sayin ma niqqa hollla at yo girl yo peace wolgemuth nice cakes btw
Had her for APUSH last yeark, now that I look back I did very well after starting ok pretty poor for now my current standards. I ended up getting an A both semesters and a 5 on the AP Exam so I felt pretty proud of that. But it had little to do with her, the book has all you need to know barring a few exceptions, and it's thick. Her lectures weren't that useful for me and I can't imagine them being useful for anyone else since it's all in the book. I think she's a good teacher regardless though.
Mrs Wohlgemuth is really energetic and passionate about history but she has unreasonably high expectations for her students. The amount of time and effort that she expects is ridiculous and all of that effort somewhat pays off. Honestly I think she makes her students work way too hard in the couple weeks before the AP exam (more than usual) and she grades far too harshly on the semester 2 final despite all of the effort that went in along with stress. Its a good class but I cant wait to be done.
had her back in 09 as a junior. she is extremely hilarious and gives great lectures. she's very passionate about history and overall the course is interesting, but challenging. Lot of great memories from APUSH.
Fun and nice teacher, but VERY fast paced. Focus, and don't procrastinate cause it just leaves you with a huge pile of stuff to do
I had Woogie second semester for honors world. She definitely requires a lot of very detailed words. But other than that she is really hilarious and has a great presentation style. Ask for her animal noises ;)
such a fun teacher for honors global 1st semester! and even though i hate history, she made the class interesting and fun, and it was one of the few classes this year where I actually learned something. love her personality and brightness...i can't wait to have her for APUSH junior year!!
really tough but really energetic and nice. TONS of notes, don't slack on them like I do cause it hurts.
She's very energetic, which sort of makes up for the boring lectures, but she also has favorites and her quizzes are unreasonable; sometiems the material on it isn't even in our reading.
Had her for Honors Global this year, for first semester was a pretty good class , she gives you lots of notes though
She is just great - makes it hard but fun..has little kids but makes it all work.
I wish I had a teacher like her when I was in high school... Very passionate, friendly, demanding. Two of my kids have had her- it's hard work but she's great.
very very hyper. tough class, but worth it. didn't care much for her personally, but still a good class.
are you infatuated with womens rights and learning useless information? this class is for you.
dont listen to all these people. she may be a good person, but her class is all busy work. YOU LEARN NOTHING! its is a waste of time and will ruin your life
i have her for AVID she's really awesome, also really hyper, lol
Ok even though you didnt round up my 89.7 (yup kids she doesnt round) i loved her shes one of my favorite teachers and she loaned me 24
Seems fun and enthusiastic! Dunno about anything yet but lets see how she teaches for the rest of the year.....
I can feel her love for history when I enter the room. She has such a great personality and is a cool person!
She's the one who inspired me to major in history. She's so passionate and excited all the time!!
i love her! my best teacher this year! i'm so glad i took AP this yr!
AWESOME TEACHER. MOVES HER HANDS A LOT WHEN SHE TALKS
granted, there is lots of busy work, but she's a great person and her class did prpare me for the AP test
I had her for AP U.S. History last year and got a 4 on the test. I almost fell asleep in everyday, and she talk really fast. But i guess it's worth it.
She is the best history teacher I ever had. And she also does cool stuff.
