Brock is absolutely the best teacher you can find your freshman year (just ahead of Page, Petrucci, and Penza). He'll make you think in ways school has never before, and bring out the most creative part of your brain- if you let him. He loves his job almost as much as the kids, very fun class.
I have only had Mr. Brocato for a quarter and I have learned so much about writing. He has helped me more than I ever believed a teacher could. For any freshman, I highly recommend his class because he is just an awesome guy and teacher. I love Brock.
had him last. actually really loved the class. did bad on my last porfolio check 4th quarter and the guy won't even look me in the eyes. weird af bc he liked me as a student last year but im pretty sure he hates me now. dont rly care tho im so tired of these pretentious old white golfer dudes
If you have a problem with Mr. Brocato, it is because you probably need to be babied as a student. He has high expectations, demands you to go all out, yet loves all his students and will help. YOu grow up fast in his class and he treats you like a young adult.
Worst teacher I have had yet. Is very judge mental, compares students with other student and family members even though he claims it's bad to, is not clear, gives impossible tests/quizzes (we do not review the stuff he puts on them). He played MAJOR favorites with students. And holds a lot of grudges!
teacher kinda sucks like every teacher. Plays favorites a lot, but you get a free B if you do all the work so that the only good thing about it. He does not really teach.
He has taught us nothing. He is biased, plays favorites and is super arrogant. He holds grudges and grades depending on whether he likes you or not. He thinks his view is the only correct view and will shoot you down if you argue with him. He makes fun of the black kid in our class and even the other teachers. He spreads rumors about stuff. He tells us stories and uses a huge "creative license." He has taught us nothing thus far and I don't think he will teach us anything. His tests are
i just dont know
I loved Mr. Brocato, however he is not an easy teacher whatsoever. His tests are impossible, his directions are always vague and unclear, and he is a very subjective grader. If you are here because you found out he will be your teacher, I would recommend getting on his good side as he will give you much better grades simply because he likes you. He is very smart and perceptive, but he is extremely intimidating and his classes and assignments are quite challenging.
Mr. Brocato is a cool person but he is not that nice of a teacher. He is not that helpful with writing and seems to be lazy and unorganized.
Best teacher I have ever had, made me love english and love my writing
Possibly my favorite teacher in the school. I only had him for a semester class and i'm deeply sorry that was all. Cares deeply about the students, and about helping them not to just pass his class, b
He's nice and all, but I'm just not a fan. He's so full of himself, boring, and shoots down any student who has different ideas than him. Tests are impossible.
A really cool teacher who is realistic about work, but at the same time pushes you to do the best you can.
he is the best teacher in the whole world...he pushes you out of your zone and inspires you to do great things... :)
By far the best teacher I have had. He's funny, nice, and caring. He knows when and how to push you, but it only makes you a better writer and thinker. It would be a blessing to have him.
Not just an overall brilliant teacher, a fantastic person too. he is a joy to have as a teacher!!! I love that class.
nice teacher, challenging at times, but overall a great person. he makes alot of us laugh. one of the best teachers that i have had!
One of the most helpful and knowledgeable teachers I have ever had throughout my entire scholastic career. Always ready and eager to help anyone out. Great Guy
You get better at writing because you practice so much in the class, not because of him or his instruction.
two classes with brock, he is always making you try to get better but he does care
Brocato is not an easy teacher but it is good to be challenged. he doesn't seem to hand out help, if you need it you have to get it.
I'm an EGHS graduate and I had Broc my senior year. Even though rumors had me believing he was a horrible teacher, I must admit, he won me over quickly. I <3 u!
He thinks he is the coolest thing God ever made. He doesn't listen to students and he prevented a great teacher from moving to the high school. Doesn't rock!
Mr. Brocato is stuck up and totally full of himself. Thinks that his style of teaching is the only right way. Also plays favorites ridiculously.
he needs to learn how to actualyl teach his students instead teaching themselves writing and grammar. i can't believe kids actuallu like him. i just dont see it
Mr. Brocato taught me alot. His honesty is helpful. He does, however, need work on drawing in the shy students more.
The best teacher I've had. Makes you use your brain and won't treat you like a little kid. The greatest!!!
I hate this teacher, he's the only teacher I hate in my entire school. He's completely unhelpful and he's a hypocrite!
Plays favorites..holds grudges..teaches too many idealistic views rather than helping with actual essay writing. His class was fairly interesting, though.
mR. b Plays a little favorites with people who have older siblings, he is hard but if you listen to him he will lead you down the right path. oVerall good guy
Brocato definately plays favorites, he isn't very helpful with assignments, but hes an ok guy outside of teaching.
Mr. Brocato plays favorites. He may bring out the best in a few students, but totally ignores others. Not very helpful with essays either.
A great teacher who truly loves teaching and writing.
The best teacher I've ever had... Treats his students like his kids...really cares about them and wants them to suceed. Teachers you sooo much...GO MR. BROCATO!
Very good teacher, follow his tips and you will improve as a writer even if your grade doesn't reflect it (rigorous course for some).
May whatever divine figure you believe in be on your side if you are so at random given this teacher.
Wants you to think for yourself and treats you with respect...the best
Independence is the key word. He trains you to think for yourself.
