Great teacher, but you have to be willing to do the work! Fair grading, with no double penalty and much partial credit! Will learn a lot
Ms. Kim is my favorite teacher. Not because of her teaching skills, which might not be favored by many, but because she truly wants to put as many fundamentals of Physics as possible into your brain. She teaches what you signed up for, efficiently and completely. Her class is not easy unless you put in a little time & a lot of effort. She's a teacher who actually teaches, something that children these days won't understand because they wanted an easy A by doing nothing. Emphasis on "children".
She can be hard to deal with, but she actually lays the fundamentals well. As a college student now, i understand why she was so hard on us. If you plan to do something physics related in college, like engineering, know that Ms. Kim got you.
Ms. Kim isn't the best, but she isn't the worst. She's generally willing to help those who try, but the average student should be able to understand the material with good lecture notes and actually completing homework problems without an solutions key.
Ms. Kim is ridiculous. She plays favorites for sure. She "hates" aka secretly loves certain boys that talk a lot in class and make her feel good about herself by sitting in her room at lunch. Her tests are too hard for a regular physics class and she loves weeding people out for no reason. Expect to do a lot of work and book reading outside class because she doesn't teach the conceptual knowledge you will need to pass her tests.
You know somethings wrong with the teacher when she lets a student from Regular Physics TA a Physics AP class....
Im guessing youre one of her favorites. Yeah its true she will try to prepare you to learn and not just do it for the grade, but at least for me, and i know for other people, a civil conversation is impossible without her yelling. I try to ask a question and she just yells at me for not paying attention. Poor teacher to me
well, Mrs. Kim, is one of the very few teachers at our school that are trying to educate us. Not try to give some works so that we can get credits and learn. If students' goals are to prepare for college, then having a bit of a talk with Mrs. Kim is definitely the best advice I could ever give. But if your goal is to get a good grade, just shut up and do your work. She's not gonna yell at you for doing your work. But if that doesn't work, go get help from Mrs. Kim. she's always there to help.
She is only nice to attractive boys. Go in at lunch and get her to like you and she will give you an a. She is ny least favorite teacher this year
Ms. Kim gets a bad rap for being strict and refusing to curve grades. If you're taking AP Physics, She will help you whenever she has time (she's often in her room before school and at lunch as well as after school) but I recommend you start looking into a tutor right now, preferably someone who's already taken her AP class. Also, the grades for AP are all shifted 10% down (i.e. 80% = A). If you're taking regular, prepare for a merciless grueling class that will totally prepare you for AP.
Half of my friends like her and half of us don't at all! She makes it impossible to do well in her class. It really seems like she's out to get some people.
I had her for physics and she was one of my favorite teachers. She is very knowledgeable in the subject and is always helpful. The subject is hard, but she teaches very well. Very fun class!
she is the best if you just do your homework. always hang out with her during lunch and after school. very good teacher but teaches a tough course
I am not here to judge Ms. Kim, only to point out that the person three spots below me does not know how to spell counseling.

Ms. Kim is great. I started her class not knowing anything about Physics and seriously considering dropping the class. She helped me understand the material and was always available to help. You must work hard, though. She is the best!!!
She's an okay teacher, but if you don't get something (which happens often in PhysAP) she doesn't know how to explain it a different way and just yells at you for not paying attention.
Excellent at presenting material, but to often mixes and unneeded social element into the class. She is not open to criticism, and can be quite incorrigible when critiqued. She does get the job done.
I don't know how people like this teacher. She favors people..
Ms. Kim is my favorite teacher at West High. She is so cool! I have her for physics, and if you honestly do your work and try hard, she'll like you. She just has some quality that makes you like her, even though she can be mean or snappy sometimes. I <3 Physics!
chem. is a hard subject but kim keeps us laughing. "what's wrong with you??" lol
OMG!! MISS KIM!! SHE IS THE BEST TEACHER EVER!!! I've only had her for a quarter but i love her and our chem class just rocks!!! We have lots of fun dont we?!!

Ms. Kim is honestly the best AP teacher I've had. She's always there for you, as long as you ask. I've never felt so prepared for an AP test! (She ROCKS too!)

Ugh! she always picks on me and I'm doing nothing but trying to learn and her class is mega hard, I'm thankful that I don't have to be her ta because she yells
