She teaches very well and takes a lot of time to explain everything, but when you write for her, you have to write exactly what she wants to hear; that is, what she perceives to be the truth, which is what she spends most of the class talking about and repeating. In other words, her work is easy if you pay attention, but it's geared towards her opinions. She is, however, very nice and helpful.
I found Ms. Cassedy to be mean. I.E., she decided the PERFECT time to yell at me over an essay I wrote was at the end of my class and as her next class was coming in. And it certainly doesn't help that half the time I had her last year she didn't make her assignments clear enough. YIKES!
She's an awesome teacher! She is so down to earth and listens to her students. I wish there were more teachers like her. Creative writing is a great class and she makes it worth taking.
Teachers her (often very emotionally charged) opinions, and grades harshly if you disagree. Tends to spend a lot of class time having some sort conversation with herself about literature she has a copious amount of experience with and continues to fail to understand. Not recommended.
So far, I like her. Creative Writing is a great class, and I think it will help me a lot. Pity I didn't have her for Western Lit.
She ends every sentence as if it is a question, okay? Her voice is really annoying, okay? Her assignments are so easy, okay?
