People complain about how hard her class/grading system is, but she really does know her stuff and will absolutely prepare you for the AP test (almost all of her students get 4s or 5s). If you're committed to the class and have her proofread your essays after school or during 6th period, you should have no problem doing well. Sra. is funny, knowledgable and always happy to help. She really made my AP experience memorable
She is so bad. She has favorites and if your not her favorite then your probably gonna get a c in the class. Orals are impossible and the tests aren't even on the material she teachers
Señora Price is a good teacher. She gives several opportunities to practice for Oral Exams and is often available to help students.
Please do yourself a favor and drop or switch out of the class if you get Mrs. Price. Your GPA will get wrecked if you stay in her class. She gives a C on oral tests for only two mistakes, and if you are not one of her favorites, good luck on trying to ever get an A on an oral. Participation in her class is 20% of your grade which is ridiculous in itself, but to make things even worse, she grades it unfairly. She would call on her favorites three times before even she called on me once!
She favorites hard. If she doesn't like you, she won't pick on you, bombing your participation grade (WHICH IS 20% OF YOUR GRADE!) Tests are on material you don't learn in class sometimes, so if you don't self study you're done.
Although she's a difficult teacher, she honestly does care about her students and her class. She ensures that all her students will learn Spanish, and I can definitely say I've learned way more than what I expected in my past 3 years with her. She is genuinely a nice person, and loves what she is doing. All you need to do to succeed in her class is study, do your work, and show her that you care (maybe a little more than other teachers).
Senora Price is honestly one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. She does a lot for her students and cares for them so much. She helps everyone improve so much. She may be intimidating at first but she really is an awesome person and great teacher. She knows the language inside and out and will answer any questions the students have. Her class isn't the easiest of classes and the work load for AP is very much realistic for a college level class. And do not procrastinate if you take this class
Ms. Price is a bad teacher who makes things worse by being a ridiculously hard grader. Avoid her if you can!
this lady is crazy it is like impossible to do well in this class! she barely helps you at all and is always assigning this crazy stuff. she should rethink how she teachers, because it is not so good.
it was a love hate relationship with her. lots of hw, but if you put in the large amount of time necessary you will succeed. The tests and quizzes are very hard though. always participate
I can understand both sides of peoples' arguments that she's either really bad. I personally think she is very good. I had her for Spanish 2 and the 1st semester was pretty bad. I started out with a C and ended the semester with a solid 85, which is not bad, but still. By the 2nd semester, I knew her standards and could keep up with what she wanted. Granted I studied a lot more, it just took a little getting used to her. I love her now! Get on her good side, and her class is fun! I got an A!!!!!
i've had senora price for three years. spanish 2, 3 and A.P. 4. She is a GREAT teacher. She's hard, for sure, but you WILL learn spanish. if you just want the grade, don't take her class. it's tough to get an A in her class but if you do, its worth WAYYYYY more than an A in spitler, turnipseed, or any of the other foreign language classes.
BEST TEACHER I have ever had, hands down. Bcause of Sra. Price, I skipped MANY classes in college and graduated with a major in SPanish. I was FAR better than most of my peers. I went to an elite private university, and kids came from the top East Coast prep schools (even Ivy-League feeder schools). SO....If you can't handle her class, get over it, try to manage, and let the people who actuallY WANT TO work HARD and learn the language do so! Do not complain. She has high expectations of you.
Sra. Price is a great spanish teacher. I had her for two years and definitely learned a lot! She thoroughly prepares you for the AP exam (I got a 5) If you're expecting an "easy A" or even an "easy B" don't. You have to put effort in this class because you won't be able to BS your way through her class.
I am two years into a very well respected University. Sra. Price is still in the top 5 teachers I have ever had. With the Spanish that I learned from her, I went on to work as a Medical Interpreter at a Hopsital, translating between the doctors and the patients. Listen guys, if you're going to sit in a language class for three required years of your life, LEARN A LANGUAGE.
I really like her as a person...but her class is the worst part of my day. I am always confused and even though I study a lot I am still only making a B. She plays favorites a lot and I find it very frustrating. However, she's a pretty good teacher (when/if she likes you) and I hope I get her for Spanish 3 and 4.
OK so she's a little bit strict, and so she's hard to. But everone has to agree that out of all of the Spanish teachers, the class where you will learn the most is hers. She is actually from Spain, and even though she seems mean and tough and uncaring she is really trying to help. People who go with her all the way and just try their hardest really come to like her. I've heard alot of bad stuff about her but the people who write that need to open their eyes and take a walk in her shoes!
Best teacher that ever lived!!! She's super nice and you will always learn tons from her! Some people say that she picks favorites but I know her to well to believe that! She will respect you if you respect her and if you work hard and listen she'll respect you no matter what grade you get! SHE ROCKS!
She's a great teacher. The only Spanish teacher at LC that can speak Spanish well and with a good accent (well, being from spain, yeah.) She really wants you to LEARN SPANISH not just the vocab from each chapter. Hearing her speak is learning the language by osmosis. Also, if the class struggles (WHICH YOU WILL. HER CLASSES ARE VERY DIFFICULT) She'll do everything in her power to make it easier.
she expects too much out of her spanish 3 students, that class is really tough. but she does teach well and is a generally likable person
you better hope that she likes your class, because she shows favoritism to classes that she likes. besides that, she is a great teacher and person
the only reason people have trouble with mrs price and dont like her is because the spanish 1 teachers are so bad! mrs price is really good and genuinely cares!
The worst case of favoratism I have EVER seen. VERY unfair in grading orals.
OMG I LOVE SENORA!!! SHE IS THE BEST AND I LOVE HER FASHION AND HER JOKES AND ALL THAT SHE TEACHES ME!! she is sooo much better than granz..she wants us to succeed!! <333
Spanish 2 with Price is easy enough, provided you make the effort to pick up on her. Very passionate, helpful and a rather interesting person.
The best Spanish teacher by far at this school. Good experience actually being taught by a teacher from Spain. Although hard, loved the class.
She gave me an excellent foundation in Spanish II and Ap. I am now in 5th semester college level spanish and I am better than my peers in terms of grammar, etc.
i dont think shes that bad, although her class is a lot of work.. but at least she actually knows spanish unlike turnipseed and granz..yuck!
i like price. class isnt too hard for me and she's better than ross and mrs. turnipseed although turnipseed was ok
ok wow. i dont think anyone in the histroy of lc has ever gotten an A in that class, even the kids who can already speak spanish flulently cant get one
I think that any teacher who doesn't even try to help you when you can't understand her is a bad teacher. I reeeeeeeeeally don't like her!
Gives a lot of quizzes and is a tough teacher. I don't like tough teachers =(.
