She genuinely cares for her students, though she does expect much of them, but only writes recommendations for the students that she likes. She can be demanding in terms of time and attention, but she's realistic and sensible. Her knowledge of all things culturally significant, outside of just English, is astounding. She's been working for decades and is extremely energetic despite this, making a typically dull English class fun and entertaining. My favorite teacher of all time.
By far the best teacher I've ever had. She taught me freshman and junior English and senior American Artifacts. She's extremely passionate about what she teaches and it comes through despite the chaos
She was and will always be the best teacher I ever had! I would not be a writer today if it wasn't for her. She challenges you and inspires the best out of people, if you let her!
She may be a little older than most teachers and have a different view of the world because of that, but she's very nice and forgiving. She's a really good teacher and is open to suggestions.
She is by far one of the best teachers at east and the best English teacher. I have had her for two years and have loved every minute of it. East is blessed to have her.
She might not be the easiest or most clear on assignments but she is one of the best if not the best teacher at east. Her class is hard but you'll learn more about english than you thought possible.
She plays favorites, so if you're not one of them, you will get overlooked. She likes hearing herself talk too much
Wonderful teacher, but fairly difficult. I had her for 2 years. Honors English 1 and Honors English 4. Read and you should be fine.
Mrs. Lancaster is my favorite teacher EVER. She gives a lot of work, but she does teach Honors. Take note of the things she writes on your papers because you will NEVER have another teacher like her.
The class was fun, but she's not a very good teacher. She's incredibly disorganized and her expectations are unclear. There's more work for her English 3 than my English 4 class.
She's AMAZING. I'm a senior in College now and still think back on junior year with her. I love this woman!
Mrs. Lancaster does give lots of work out, but she's helped me learn how to understand literature better. The only thing I don't like is the amount of vocab we get, but other than that, she's great!
By far my favorite teacher ever. I'm gonna be her TA and i absolutely loved her. She is hard but she does teach honors. Expect lots of work, but she is so worth it.
The best teacher I have ever had, including college profs! She was the reason I decided to teach Eng.
she is a great teacher, but she gives a lot of work & grades hard. Not a good teacher for slackers.
vocab vocab vocab...but the theatrical exam project was incredible!
i love her, she kinda gives a lot of work, but i have a feeling im going to learn something in there..shes a little much to handle first thing in the morning! shes likea bullet!!
She is seriously my most favorite by far at east. She has a lot of assignments, but they're all fun. Her room makes you feel really cozy too. Ive learned a lot this year from her
I agree with everyone else on this board--Ms. Lancaster was the greatest teacher I ever had. I still have my Purple Punctuation Packet!
Mrs. Lancaster deserves every smiley she has. I graduated 8 years ago, but still carry very fond memories of her and the things I learned in her class.
mrs lancaster definitely is one of the most influential teachers ever to teach in chapel hill. her room is gorgeous
All you have to do is look at her room and you know what a cool lady she is. I love walking into her class. She always puts me in a good mood.
No words to describe this woman. She was the most wonderful teacher i've ever had. The fact that she loves her work so much makes the class even better.
She was, is, and always will be the greatest & most infulential teacher I ever had. Christian Slater really is looking more and more like Jack Nicholson, Mrs. L
She is undoubtedly an extremely good teacher and the best English teacher I've had in a long time.
I had Ms. Lancaster in 1991 at CHHS and even now, 2 B.A.'s and an M.A. later, I still consider her one of my favorite teachers of all time!
