Very great teacher! His teaching style did not always fit my strengths but he definitely taught all the material well and explained it thoroughouly and is a great person too!
HIs quizzes and tests are ridiculously difficult. One of my friends took his statistics class and had to drop it after first semester because he was failing. He took statistics again in college and is doing just fine. That just shows how the level of difficulty is simply unreasonable.
Mr. Chonko is such a cool teacher, even though I'm failing his class. I asked him to sign a paper for me, and he did without looking. He could've sold his soul to me. (Don't worry, he didn't; he just signed my leadership application.)
Mr. Chonko is probably one of the best teachers I have had for a math course in my life. Lol.
Mark Chonko, Math instructor
Great teacher, great guy. This guy convinced me that I still love math and if it werent for him, I would be failing precalc. Really calm and collected all of the time. One of the best math teachers I have ever had.
He is perhaps the nicest teacher at BVN. He knows this class is tough and is always willing to help students having a hard time. He also knows the material very well and knows several ways to teach one small concept. However, his tests will irk you. They will literally make you feel like you're bad at math, even if you're a genius. Here's a tip: STUDY! A LOT!
This guy is basically Harvey Dent. He grades like Harvey Dent too. His grades are based on a coin flip, and the coin is loaded. RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!!!
He pretty much explains everything crystal clear and I can understand everything he says very clearly. He is also very easygoing and helpful. The monotone can kind of get a little boring at times though. His tests are sometimes impossible. Other times, they are bearable.
Chonko is okay as a teacher, but his tests are awful. He often includes things that haven't seen the light of day since the beginning of whatever unit and very few people got As in his class.
He is a fantastic teacher. Even though the fact that I have ADHD and he is monotone didn't always mix well, his explanations were still incredibly thorough and helpful. It was easier to pay attention once I noticed he participates in No Shave November (until spring starts). Couple of interesting facts: He is fluent in Swahili and is a master of the Dougie!
Chonko is a great teacher. Sure his voice may be monotonous but he teaches statistics very well. He may go too slow at times (but that's just my opinion). He uses many examples and I think that he tru
Mr. Chonko is easily and by far the best math teacher this school has, from my experience at least. He teaches a lot, and it may be difficult for some, but I am prepared to bet that his students are d
Great, Great, Great math teacher. Though I though his monotone voice would put me to sleep, I actually learned a lot and did really well in math because of him. RIGHT ON CHONKO!
he's a decent teacher, but DANG this man needs to spice things up a little. he's a smart guy, you'd think he would come up with alternative ways to teach math. he's one of the best mathteachers though
He is the sweetest teacher ever, but his class is the hardest class. I felt like we learned something new and had 2 days to learn it. Very helpful though. I just needed too much help
he isnt the greatest teacher, but he has a hilarious personality
Very very nice guy, always willing to help you after class, but if you're not naturally gifted at math, you'll struggle.
He is a nice, good guy. However, his class is hard, with bad tests.
hes a cool guy, but pretty boring teacher. if you like math, ull love him. if you aren't good/don't like it, youll like him cuz he's cool but itll b hard/boring
He didnt really teach anything, teaching myself honors algebra 2 from the textbook was awful.
Mr. Chonko can be pretty tough...and he's kind of boring at first. But after you've been in the class a while he's cool.
