super nice helpful and funny. helped me get my grade up from a C to an a! highly recommend
Excellent teacher. Teaches algebra concepts thoroughly and clearly. Joyful class!
very nice and funny
wonderful teacher. even though he might embarrass you in front of the class he doesn't mean it.
he's everybody's favorite for a reason
by far the kindest and funniest teacher at wrms
Eh, he's an okay teacher.
Mr. Monasterio is a really funny teacher, he acts/dresses like a teen. He prioritizes the popular kids and won't pay attention very much to the others. Even though he is super nice, sometimes he has really fluctuant mood swings. One day he will be so nice and outgoing, the next he will write "NOPE" on the board, and he won't let anyone talk to him. When he teaches it's a little confusing but mostly good. His tests are pretty easy, and he doesn't give buttloads of homework. He's aight :/
Mr. Monasterio is a very good teacher, he is funny, and nice and helps you learn the topic. He teaches effectively but he tends to favor people often. One thing though is that he has mood swings and one period can be happy and fun and the next be mad or upset because you did the slightest thing wrong. He tends to get impatient if you do not know how to answer a problem.
A lot of people say that Monasterio is cool, but really he is not! He tries way too hard and really disrespects students if either a) they academically do not do well or b) they are unpopular. He has way too obvious favoritism and gives no second chances; if you mess up once, he will disrespect you in front of the entire class. And I get mood swings, but the mood swings he has are insane and way too unpredictable. He especially picks on kids when he is pissed.
Mr.Monasterio is an awesome teacher, but I do feel like he singles out his students based on their popularity. He does has various mood swings, but his main goal for every lesson is to teach it properly to the students. He is also very funny, and makes math fun to learn. He tries his best to help his students, no matter what anyone here says. There are worse teachers out there, and all the negative comments may be true, but overall, he's a wonderful teacher who cares about his students. -M
so this is a little biased but (I had him in 7th and 8th) in 7th grade i reallly like him, chill and cool but i overlooked some things because back then, i was one of his favorite students. In 8th grade, I was no longer his fave student and I realized that he started had two personalities; he could be chill one sec, and the next sec he'd be all mad and kicking kids out.... and he also calls out kids and TBH doesnt show respect for the students.
Really nice and funny guy. He is very willing to help if you dont get something. He is like a middle schooler. He is a really great man and an excellent teacher. His only problem is that he has really huge mood swings, like one day he'll be joking around like crazy, and the next day he'll yell at you. Another one is that he favors all the popular kids, and people act dumb just to be recognized as popular in his class. AMAZING TEACHER
He is like the worst teacher ever. He refuses to sign any pieces to paper when you need to leave class on a day. Recently, he gave a very hard math quiz. It was like impossible. The new grading scale is very stupid. 1 conceptual error lowers you grade by a letter (A 0, B+ 1, B 2, B- 3, C+ 4, C 5, C- 6, D+ 7, D 8, D- 9, F 10 or more.) For one calculation error, it takes you to an A-. That's just stupid. This grading system applies to the Accelerated Algebra 1 classes and Geometry Classes @ WRMS.
No Respect For His Students
Mr. Monasterio is a teacher that favors certain students just because they are popular in school. He kicks students out of the classroom for no reason and spends way too much time joking around. He expects you to come into the classroom already knowing everything. One day he will come into the classroom with a welcoming and nice feel but the next day his mood will be completely different. He tends to take out all of his bad feelings on his students.
He's funny, but over uses jokes, vines, ,memes etc.
Mr. Monasterio is everyone's favorite teacher because he is like a kid, like one of us. I'm one of the few people who don't love him because I feel like he just wants to be accepted by the students for whatever reason. He interrupts his own lesson to make a joke and then causes a break in everyone's concentration. Lessons aren't even finished sometimes because he tries so hard to be funny. His class is really fun but he doesn't balance work with play very well. The HW and grading is fine though.
He is a really good teacher, but the new grading system is way too hard. On an all multiple choice test, one mistake is a B. That is way too harsh, like it was hard enough already.
He is helpful but tough and he is a joker, which is cool but that sometimes interferes with learning.
I have right now and he is the most AMAZING teacher ever he is hilarious and always makes funny jokes
He is a good teacher, and he does teach things clearly. He is really fun and makes the class laugh all the time. However, he does have favorites.
dude mr monasterio is the best. When ever i go back to windemere to visit i only visit him and like one other teacher. I only had him for one semester because i failed and algebra was not my thing in 8th, but i stayed cool with him for the whole year. Best teacher ever he better come to my graduation.. Him and his soon to be wife and future children
I had Mr. M for 7th and 8th grade math and I can honestly say that he's by far the best teacher i've had. Not only does he teach in a way that well- works, but he engages the whole class in the lesson with his humor and positive attitude. He's approachable and always willing to help! He's smart, hip, and funny and I would always look forward to laughing while learning in his class. Plus he plays music while students work. Pretty good music, actually.
He is a grate teacher. I had him for seventh grade, and I was an overachiever, so he helped me get Ms. Hancock for the next year, an advanced math teacher.
Pretty cool, except for ih you cross the line. He is still your teacher, not your friend and if you talk to much, he gets a bit grouchy. Still though, cool teacher who you can talk to.
Mr.Monasterio is an awesome guy, he energetic funny, smart and nice. He is by far the best Math teacher i had ever had. And he also taught me how to become a "dragon"- thanks for everything
Mr. Monestario is an awesome teacher.. He not only is very engaging with the kids.. but makes MATH fun. He will help anyone at any time.. He is a great man with a great heart for kids and learning. Mo
