One of the best teachers I ever had and retained tons of information from his Political Science classes. Great guy too with a wonderful, dry sense of humor.
He is alright. he repeats himself like nobodies business so the information is literally pounded into your head, he also lets you watch a bunch of movies! he also goes over everything right before a test so just pay attention!
his class was a snoozapalooza. but I did well in it, unlike other people. he doesn't take messing around or incompetence. just make sure you take great notes because you can use them on EVERY test. I learned a lot in his class and he knows a lot too. so if you have questions, don't be too afraid to ask. he's pretty nice if you're on his good side.
he is clealry a smart man, but he is really mean, one day in class he yelled at three people and really degraded them badly, i would hate to be those people,
Eventhough he's a difficult teacher, he's a hundred times better than other teachers, in his class you don't get busy work and you actually learn something
He makes you feel stupid!and repeats the text book.. we mite as well just teach ourselves...
The fact that he was in the AF explains alot-he acts like a drill sergeant. And despite how much he knows, all I've learned is how to fill out study guides well
He's a brilliant man, but also viciously arrogant. He expects his sophomores to reach the same standard as his college seniors, which is a little over the top.
He mispronounced my name the entire year I had him and I was too scared to correct him. He knows his stuff but he needs to work on the social aspect of his job.
Dude, he totally sucks at teaching AP US History. He doesn't cover all the material (we got to the end of WWII). He does know his info though.
Mr. Ortiz is a very good teacher, although his classes are hard and strenuous if you talk to the guy you may learn more than you bargained for.
Mr. Ortiz may be an alright guy and a competent teacher, but when he's teaching a subject that he doesn't exactly like, like AP American, he is neither, at all.
This guy has an odd method of teaching, but it's good. In World Geography, he lectured, we watched movies, and we took tests. I learned lots of stuff from him.
