Considering I had just left foster care to return to my abusive family and moved newly to San Diego, it was really great to hear from Mr. Tuttle that he was "simply to busy with his golf practice," to offer me any additional help in catching up during my transfer. Of course, the fact that he would sit pedantically within the center of the room surrounded by the us in a circle desk formation, boasting incessantly about himself, I consider it no great loss.

He was literally the hardest English teacher I ever had. It was fun freaking him out though...a change from him scaring students I suppose.

This was the hardest English class I have EVER taken, including AP English and college literature courses. I have only ever gotten A's on my English / lit courses after this one.

it definitely helps to get on his good side, and he does have one. to all who have his class and dont know what to do: don't let him intimidate you, be confident every day and try to do well, its really not hard to do well

all i remember from his class is how scared i was of him. i only memorized my notes so he wouldn't give me the "look" but he still helped my writing improve... i guess...

Scary, scary guy--especially to have as a freshman. But he's a great teacher, and after you leave his class, you'll see you learned so much. Plus, he's really nice when you visit him the year after you left his class.

He may be really abrasive and quick to dismiss, but I still remember those vocab words two years later. It's definetly a great class.

Tuttle acts smarter than you, with validity, because he probably is. He won't hold your hand or be your ego-booster, he will tell it how it is. A great and demanding english class

This class was really hard. It was much different than the other honors English class. People were really intimidated!

The one-paragraph essay only works in his class (if that). DO NOT USE THIS TECHNIQUE IN COLLEGE!!!! YOU WILL GET AN F ON THE ESSAY!!!!

He ALWAYS has to be right, and if you ever prove him wrong well then he gives you a C and kicks you out of his class. He thinks he is gods gift to RBHS

Uneccessarily mean and cruel to his students. Intimidating. He'll stand in front of a student and stare them down if a student doesn't turn in homework.
