She is a native Spanish speaker so she speaks Spanish well, but she has no idea how to teach the material. My average was an A last year and now is in the C range. She gives you the vocabulary and then tests you without any practice, and she teaches multiple units at once.
Very nice and animated! Makes Spanish a fun language to learn. Picks on you even if you're not raising your hand. My avg. went from a 98 to an 86 between 8th and 9th grade. Very helpful and motivational though!!
ok segovia is insanely nice but her class is really hard. i got A's in spanish but with her i got D Range and on my progress report she would say should become a more active member of the class, more effort need. like don't switch out until you fully put in so much effort and try hard. don't give-up in her class she just wants to push you so you can be the best you can be. she doesn't want her class to be too easy she wants you to kinda struggle in a way. make sure you do all your take home quiz
ms segovia is very nice but her class is DIFFICULT!!! if your not good at spanish than switch out bc tests/quizzes is what your grade is. i struggled in her class a lot and so did the majority of the class. if you are an honors student than you are ok but if you are a regents/special ed/intensive consider switching out bc you will fail or get in the C or D range. she's not clear at all and she will want to help you but she will still fail u even if you do go to extra help. good luck :
Nice person, but have favorite classes. Gives some classes candy everyday, and others none ever. Her exams are decent, but you can't pull them off without studying. Her "cultural handouts" are the absolute worst! Also, very peppy and writes on everyone's report cards needs to participate more. Never checks homework even though she gives a lot. Liked her tho!
She is a nice person but she cant teach. She dosent help you with anything and just hands out worksheets. If you get her switch out as soon as possible. My friend dropped spanish class because of her. She makes everything seem harder than they actually are.
Mrs. Segovia is a very nice teacher, but her class is difficult. Shes a nice teacher, but all she does is hand out worksheets and does little actual teaching. Really nice as a person though
This class was extremely difficult, trying my hardest I was only able to get a C . Her lessons are not clear and she is not considerate towards her students. My class was small, and 15/18 students in
ms.segovia is a very hard teacher, do your work, homework, pay attention, study and you will do well (so i heard) im failing with the majority of my class. for midterms shes having 2 extra helps on sa
She is soo nice...as lomgg as u do ur workk and study her tests are not hardd. We learned more in a month then I did all last year. I really like her! WE have sooo much fun n her class !!!!!
Ok so if you have her for 200/201 the tests are hard because she DOES NOT MAKE THEM!!! Albany does. If you go to extra help and do your work she will be one of the best teachers you will ever have!
True, she could occasionally be very nice and helpful. But her class is completely absurd. I have learned nothing and done a ton of work. Really unfair, as it seems she does not thing before she assigns things; there is a gap between her expectations and what her class could and will do. Everyone in her class thinks she is a joke, does ridiculous things
She is a great teacher! make sure you do your work and try in class and you'll love her!! i have so much fun in her class :)
Sra Segovia is an excellent teacher but I will admit she is on the strict side but shes very nice just behave and listen and do the hw and dont come in late alot and you'll be fine
NOt a great teacher. Gives to much busy work and tests you before actually fully teaching and reviewing. Doesn't seem to know spanish inside out but If you put effort ,you will get good grade.
She is like my 2nd mother during the school year! Shes sooo nicee, great heart. Just behave and listen.
I had her two years in a row.. I think that made me hate Spanish more. She is a nice lady -- just she doesn't know how to teach.
Where did you get Anne from?! Not a bad teacher, pretty weird and strict, but if you put some effort in to it you'll get a good grade.
She's cool and she's a nice person but she can't teach very well
I guess this may be partly based on the fact that I hate Spanish
