I would recommend her for sure, with younger children she is a lot more disciplined but as you get older she becomes more fun. I wouldn't describe her as cranky unless you do something to make her that way, i.e. not practicing for a concert or for NYSSMA and bringing down the orchestra.
She always helps out with things you need to learn but sometimes you have to ask her multiple times before she helps.
She's a great musician and has a lot to offer. As long as you don't skive off her class or skip to hangout in the practice room, she's perfectly nice and fair.
She doesn't stick to her policies. She constantly changes her rules and very clearly favors the better musicians.
She conducts as though she were leading a professional orchestra. Sometimes it's hard to follow her tempo changes and downbeats. However, she is nice, and usually fun to be around.
Mrs. Coburn. Um, yikes. Not much to say about her. She's way to cranky!!
One of the best music teachers I ever had in my high school career. String Ensemble was the BEST class ever.
