Enough with all the hate reviews, Mrs. Gibbs was a really good teacher. Even though she taught stuff fast, may not have described topics cleared enough, and was hard, she always gave us chances like open notes with a flash card, offered a class money based system to increase your grade if you did bad on a hw assignment or exam, and is such a nice person if you get to know her. If you want to take Chemistry, I totally recommend her, but if you want to take the easy side, go for a easier teacher.
I am very good in bio so I expected to be good in chem too considering I liked learning about this stuff but she throws a lot of information at you and it's hard to retain it all. I recommending studying a lot she is a good teacher but grades harshly and is a lot of work!
*PLEASE READ*. She's so nice and gives you opportunities to get your grade up but she goes so fast in teaching , it's so hard to keep up and be interested ..no one really pays attention lmao when you have a double period you're just gonna wanna cry, it physically hurts your brain. BUT THE TESTS...I FAILED EVERY SINGLE ONE and I was in honors . Just pay attention don't fall behind. Do the multiple choice section in the packet before the test ..it really helps
Very monotone. Horrible teaching strategies and not helpful. Does not respond to coach.
She ate my dog and then licked a waffle
One of the better Chem teachers, though none are particularly great. She makes a difficult subject slightly less so, and as I said, she's much better than most Chem teachers.
Mrs Gibbs..where do I even begin. OK, well to start off with, she was absolutely the worst teacher i had in my sophmore year. Not only was she unable to teach, but she also was simply a terrible person. This is not coming from someone who failed her class, I did well, but not because of her teaching. I had to study outside sources more than her stupid little notebook where we took useless notes for 42 minutes straight and absorbed no information. By far one of the worst teachers of my education.
very nice lady but not the best teacher. she throws hugh amounts of information at you and expects you to absorb it without going over it thoroughly
Shes hard but she loves her honors kids so if your smart, this is the place to be, if not good luck
Worst science teacher imaginable, drop out if you get her, the students have to tell her what is going on
chemistry was the hardest science class ever. and im good in science usually. she kinda sucked.
she doesn't care if you pass or fail and you can do anything you want in her class like come late or sleep
i failed her class... ironically the 4th quarter was my best... and i had already given up on passing! i did practically nothing for a 43
nice person but one of the worst teachers ever. thinks everyones in honors and wont slow down or help you to understand. i hate science so much more bc of you.
MRS. GIBBS IS THE BEST TEACHER IVE EVER HAD!! she is a good teacher and she is nice and cool.
she makes you feel really dumb when asking a question. She doesnt know how to teach or make everyone understand.
she is nice and all, but those tests are insane... and i study!
quote from ms gibbs im tenured, it doesnt matter to me if you pass or fail the regents i think that speaks for itself
would be a better teacher if she did not expect her students to know chem before hand... we are not all chemistry teachers...
Some people just get chem, they understand it. Not me, but Miss Gibbs and strategically placed notes during tests helped me pass. Definitely a great lady.
im sorry but i cant learn chem from someone who dropped it in highschool...
You're the best homeroom teacher ever! I miss homeroom and our bagel parties.
Horrible at explaining things to the dumb kids. But otherwise, good.
She knows we cheat. And she doesn't care. She's ok in my book.
Unless things changed in the last 5 years, she's just an awful teacher.
