(Chemistry) Mr. Bissell is an okay Chemistry teacher. His test are extremely hard, unless you have good study habits and ask a lot of questions. Using the textbook might be helpful, for this class too. He also give out note sheets so you know what the unit is on and the information needed for each unit. However, unless you have lots of friends in that class, I would recommend you switch out if you can. Mr. Bissell does give out lots of extra credit, though, and you can make-up some tests.
(NOTE-This is for Bissel as a P.E teacher, not chemistry)
He's kind, and not too strict, which is really all you can ask of a P.E teacher.
Good, but challenging teacher. Not too strict but is nitpicky about labs.
I recommend switching out of Bissells class if you find yourself stuck with him at the beginning of the school year. While he is very nice and a good teacher - his class is simply too difficult. It's basically AP Chem masquarding as a level class. His exams are extremely difficult but he does provide many oprrutunities for extra credit. If you do find yourself stuck with him - but your phone away, type your labs, and pay attention. Also ask questions - and you'll probably be able to get a B
he's a good teacher but his class is difficult he even says so at the beginning of the school year but he will help you if need it and gives many opprutunities to save your grade. he's passionate about chemistry.
loves the fact that he is a difficult teacher. makes exams extra hard so most people get C's - many fail. he also does not seem to like high school students or teaching as he is a very poor teacher. beware - take another teacher!
A little unclear sometimes, but overall provides the necessary resources to learn. He gets his job done. We do lots of labs and have lots of extra credit. He can't spell or punctuate to save his life but honestly who cares?
Pretty hard class. I think Mr. Bissell is a pretty good guy, and he knows what he's talking about, but he's not the best teacher. Gives a lot of homework, but also gives a lot of extra credit if you're ready to put in a little extra work. It pays off.
Mr. Bissell is very accessible as he's around at lunch every day, but he's not a very helpful teacher--he wastes a lot of class time talking about his life--and this resulted in me struggling in a subject I normally love.
Mr. Bissell is probably the coolest guy I've ever met, but a very difficult teacher. His tests seem impossible, but they're doable if you LISTEN in class; he always gives hints as to what he will put on the test. DO ALL EXTRA CREDIT! he gives out a ton, and that's how i got an A. He is not very good at assessing the needs of different students, but if you try really really hard, you can do well. Also, be neat on your labs or else he'll dock points. Follow his lab template!
Overall great guy. He's funny, and always available at lunch for help. Gives a lot of extra credit too!
yeah. I agreee if you pay attention in his class, you'll pass but he isnt helpful when you ask him questions. Its like your on your own to find solutions most of the time.
Mr. bissell is not a bad teacher - and his teaching is definitely not affected by his old position as a football coach. If you pay attention in class and do what he says, you can do very well.
Bissell is first and foremost a good person. He also is a good teacher if you pay attention. He prepares you for college. Anyone who fails him just wasn't applying themselves!!!
an aloof man who does not seem to like children and care if we are learning or not
Also the football coach. Yes, that says something about his ability to teach
