He talks REALLY slow and if you go ask him what he really wants, he will look at you like you're weird... needs a lot of artistic talent to get an A and don't have to turn in works on time but if you want him to actually LOOK at your work then turn it in with other people. That's when he will grade people's work without any bias. I turned in my work to him late one time, but I really did make my art piece look real good but he gave me a B without even further looking at it. Very boring class...

Not the greatest teacher. Really slow, really old. Dont take this class if you arent artistic, he will not change the way he looks at you

i had him for fundamentals and adv.art, and it was actually not that bad. it helps to have some form of artistic talent and to be an overall bright, sweet person. ^-^ he does talk REALLY slow and expects you to understand everything the first time he says it. but really. being one of his favorites helps SO much. x]

He grades pretty easily on projects, but he doesn't spend a lot of time explaining them. One would feel confused after he has assigned a new project

I thought he was alright, he doesn't really care what you do though, he just sits at his desk and plays like candyland minigolf or something. Its a really chill class, all i did was talk, eat, and listen to my ipod. He barely taught us how to do a project, you just learn by yourself and see what others are doing arround you.

mr. maynard is not all that bad. as long as you are somewhat artistically talented/ trying, he will work with you. he does not teach but that is an advantage. u can do anything u want, how you wantetc

He's just misunderstood. He's actually a really cool teacher - I mean, who else lets you play whatever music you want during class? It's not easy to get an A..
