I have Ms. Millard in 6th grade. She gives a lot of homework and makes a big deal if you don't do it. She only allows someone to to the bathroom once week during her class, which is insane, and only allows one person out at a time. She says that there is plenty of time to go before class but if you are late to class, she will yell at you. She doesn't tell you the homework in class, you have to go online after school to cheak. Her class is extremely boring and she doesn't try and make it interest
I had her last year. She gave a lot of homework, but doing the homework definitely paid off. If you do your homework you get a homework crown and she doesn't check your homework. This made me lose my motivation to do my homework and made my grades suffer, so I would recommend still doing your homework. If you put the effort into it, you will get positive results. She helps a lot if you need it. Many people don't like her, but I did. She taught well and prepared me for honors Spanish in the HS.
Haven't done my spanish hw since feburary because i had a crown. a crown is your best friend. to get a crown and to never do any of her hw that took everyone an hour or 2 a night is to do all your hw till january. trust me its worth it.
Señora Millard was a pretty good Spanish teacher overall in my opinion. She gave a bit more work than the average 8th grade teacher, but it did a good job at teaching me well. Her tests always had a few tricks, and she was pretty knowledgable with her Spanish. However, there were a few times where she herself had trouble with vocabulary. We barely ever used the textbook, but she was very helpful. Overall, I would recommend her, but she probably isn't the best choice out there.
I don't like her as a person, but she is a good teacher. She gives A LOT of homework, often most of my homework comes from Spanish. She doesn't consider your other classes and gives homework the day before and of tests. She is also not very nice and completely freaks out when you are late. However, if you put in effort, do all the homework, participate in class, and study a little for the test, you will succeed. In the end, I learned a lot in her class, even though she isn't very nice.
She never thinks about that you have other classes. If you forget your homework she makes a big deal about it. You read a stupid novel in the beginning of the year... when you don't know any Spanish. She thinks she is entitled to the whole world. She will say her test/quizzes are on day and then the day of the test she will change the date. She missed about 40 classes this year. And she yells at us when you come late to class. Every time I get in her class I can't wait to get out she is awful...
She definitely should not be teaching in Scarsdale. On the day before quizzes and tests, she would give us other homework than studying.
She always speaks in Spanish, no English. She gave us a 63 thing quizlet to learn in 4 days, and I think that is to hard. The homework is pretty easy, and so are the tests. If you speak in english, she freaks out. She is also not helpful enough.
There is nothing nice to say about this teacher. She is terrible and doesn't teach you anything. She shouldn't be a teacher in scarsdale. Spanish used to be fun and now its terrible. Its my worst class now because of her.
She is a very good teacher. She is nice and teaches us in a way that is clear and easy to understand.
She is nice and helpful if you ever have questions. She doesn't really pick out favorites like some people said. If you do your homework at least some of the time she will generally like you. I know some people who never did homework and actually failed one quarter, but then bothered putting some effort in, and she was very kind to them. I got a B on quarter, and said I was determined to get into honors in HS, and she has been extremely helpful to me.
She is a great teacher who is great at helping you out. You Just need to do your H.W. and participate for her to like you
Oh my god. She is a great teacher. If you're willing to actually put a little effort into it, it goes a long way. She's not that hard a grader: I know someone who missed a whole page on a test, and still got a 90.
she is annoying and favors studentsif you do HW in class bewear, she will give you a blank one, BE CAREFUL..
She is a good teacher but you have to be willing to learn and participate!!! You can learn a lot of you are willing to do so
awesome......love her she is sooo nice if u pay attention and get involved and raise ur hand
Not great nor amazing but overall i am learning spanish
she is nice, but i cannot stand those culture+grammar flippers!
I used to think she was too hard but then I realized when I tried really hard and got into honors that I knew so much more than everyone else. She pwn3d.
she isn't that bad. sometimes a little annoying and unclear, but generally nice
I would so much rather be in Tuscono's class. It's so unfair, she gives us harder quizzes and projects than the other class so my friends get the same or better grades than me.
she hates me and i hate her back. she never gave me any more than 80% on projects, except once, and she gave me a 50% for class participation, which is a joke
she was an mazing teacjher. acne is no reason to hate her. just cuz you all are stupod and got f's doesnt mean shes bad
Made me spanish-phobic, Let's just say she scared the bejesus out of me. Not such a nice lady.
Shes pretty nice to me... sometimes gets a little boring but I don't see anything wrong.
as a homeroom teacher she was the worst who makes thei rstudents sit outside in the rain while she socializes?? ACNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
She sounds like a broken record with all the 'Si, Si, Si, Si..." and "en tonces." She's good at teaching, specifically, though.
Was hard too understand and didn't know what she was doing. However, she was helpful.
a word of advice to mcdermott: dont hire people who a. have no experience with children at all and b. are not finished with puberty. devil's child.
