Probably one of the best english teachers I've ever had. I made straight As in college english, but honestly her class was more rigorous than what I took in college. I can't believe she is gone. RIP. She was amazing, a real inspired example of what a teacher is.
Ms. Plesh was one of the best teachers I've ever encountered. My two oldest children loved her. She challenged their minds and treated them as valuable human beings with valuable thoughts. This post is in honor of her memory as she just passed away. A loss for many! My prayers are with her family, friends, and the students she touched so deeply.
Seven years after having her as a teacher, Ms. Plesh still sticks out as my favorite, and as one of the most compassionate adults involved in my adolescent life. She set high standards for us, assigning notoriously challenging texts like Brothers Karamazov and Oedipus Rex. However, this class was the only true literature class I've ever had, in that assessments were not designed to test content retention or vocabulary. They were based on the impact the literature had on us while we consumed it.
Great teacher, basically a reading club disguised as English. I mean really, who needs correct grammar anyway?
She is amazing... Love her dearly and I admire her so much, even as college student. She reaches the unreacheables at this school.
