One of the toughest teachers I've had. Great at explaining things, but graded very harshly. Cool guy outside of class though.

He is a great teacher and a nice man, though he may seem harsh. You will learn a ton in his class and actually remember it. He really makes you know stuff.

He is extremely helpful outside of class and very clear in the first place, and he teaches you how to participate and how to work. A great teacher.

Probably the hardest teacher I've ever had, but also one of the best. Hes a lot nicer one on one then he is in class, few people realize that.

As long as you work hard and don't fall behind, you should be fine in Merl's class. He is definatly one of the funniest people I know.
