Mr. Driscoll is the best music teacher I have EVER had. He knows what he's talking about, and if you bother/annoy him, dont expect to be treated like everyone else, it's really that simple. But he's a great teacher, and i found his classes to be fun and entertaining. However, although he comes off as a little frightening and rigid sometimes, he's a really nice guy if you take the time. Driscoll's classes are really helpful, but DO NOT be late.
Mr. Driscoll lacks respect for most of his students. He is incapable of giving much constructive criticism and prefers to put his students down for what they are doing wrong rather than what they are doing right. He definitely chooses favorites, and it comes across in the way he grades people. Mr. Driscoll knows music very well, but his teaching style is only built for a select few, whom he gives straight A's. If you struggle in his class, go to him for help, but don't expect much sympathy.
He expects a lot of you, and definitely holds you accountable for your actions. He can be scary but he's such an amazing teacher and conductor and I have learned so much from him in my 4 years in choir. AP Music is a great class, fast moving but you learn a ton. Just go by what he says and don't challenge him until you're a senior. Don't do it. Camerata is amazing and he really knows what he's doing. DON'T BE TARDY. Love u Drisk.
decent teacher, nice if you get to know him, Camerata is awesome, DON'T BE LATE you will lose so much credit from tardies (trust me I did/do)
I took Piano from him he was a good teacher and I learned a lot he challenged me which was helpful I always felt he had my back. He is kind and sweet you'll get along as long as you try your best.
Mr. Driscoll is a great conductor, musician, teacher, and an overall great guy. Sometimes from the outside he can seem a little bit stiff, but once you get to know him - he's a very sweet man and is always willing to give you the help you need. Much love, Mr. D.
i don't like how he thinks you are incompetent if you aren't in camerata and he plays favorites
mr. driscoll is good musically, however, he has no social skills. solfege is a freat thing to teach, but it doesn't make the choruses sound any better. THEY ARE SO FLAT! HE SHOULD FOCUS ON TUNING. He's an irrational grader and he does not reciprocate the respect that his students give him, and he does not respond well to feedback.
this guy has no criteria for a grading system. I get As on my tests, but get Bs in his classes. He admitted to me that he changes prtcptn grade to give "deserved" overall grade...
Mister Driscoll needs to learn to listen to people.. in a chorus - he can't have a "my way or the highway" attitude.. yeah, he's the conductor, but we're the singers.. camerata '05
people say he is hard to deal with in groups, but sometimes you just have to give him a chance. he's an awesome conductor.
A cool guy if you get to know him. Camerata is the best its ever been
If anyone in ur music class made a CD, the publisher would go out of business!!!lol, jk, ur great, fun class
Really weird, but funny weird. Attendance isn't always that strict, but u should still be there on time
Mr Driscoll is so cool he is sweet and really nice but is a hard #%$ about attendance Love him
no one will ever replace Mr. Hicks and it doesn't help when we have a new teacher that no one even likes
Mr. Driscoll desereves a lot of repect and gratidude. In the situation he was in, he managed to do the impossible and motivated us to still try our best.
He is a good guy and you can tell he puts alot of effort in. Plus he stress the fundmentals. Never be late to his class, he'll mark u awol or tardy.
He's doing well in his situation. He may not replace our old teacher but he's doing our best.
great conductor, very demanding w/attendance, fun guy
