Do you honestly think you can teach students nothing? Do you think anyone cares about your life stories? As like many other subjects, English has a curriculum. You have taught your students absolutely nothing. Surrounding me are students who consistently express their hate toward English; I wish they would understand that learning English isn't pointless. While studying the SAT/ACT, I have found fascination with the subject. You, Michael Harvey, are worthless to your students.
Michael (not Micheal) Harvey is a hard-working individual who is knowledgeable in a remarkable number of areas. He is humorous (or at least let him keep thinking he is), and he does his best to make class interesting while at the same time push for higher-level thinking and discussion-based instruction. All these complaints about hard grading are surely made by students who turn in bad papers, and he is able to clarify things IF YOU ASK. Sleeping in his class = missing out on meaningful thought.
One of the worst english teachers i've ever had in my entire. We learn literally nothing useful whatsoever in that class. No grammar/vocabulary or anything actually useful. He just tells us useless stories about his life which nobody cares about as usually half the class is asleep when you look around. He gives us two assignments in an entire quarter, gives everyone a 70. If you read this, please give us more assignments or don't grade the only assignments you give so harshly.
he can be a nice guy, but he doesnt like me so he picks on me whenever i do anything wrong
I though Mr.Harvey was a fantastic teacher who would go in-depth with all the work we had. I personally loved everything about his class last year, his bicycle, his blazers, and his stories.
He's a good teacher, it's just hard to tell when you're following curriculuum or just talking
the only kids that dont like mr harvey are the kids that always take the easy way out of things. they dont like his class cause they have to actually work. he's a great teacher and is very smart
I love this guy. Teaches good if your willing to learn, one of my favorite english teachers.
harv dogg is tight and hes a good coach. Track season wouldnt be the same without him
Mr. Harvey's class is a very good clas... if you have a lot of homework to do. Months on end, you could just be sitting in his room "working" on your World Lit paper.
He doesn't explain clearly how he wants things done and then expects the world of you though time is a foctor for you its not for him
i duno why evry1 is badmouthing this guy, hes a good teacher, so what if he talks about god now n then?
Like him as a person, dislike him as a teacher. He's fun to talk to and has a good sense of humor, but we're unprepared for our IB World Lit papers and such.
Harvey is a decent teacher, but I wish we didnt have to do vocab, and I wish we spent less time on details. Picking everything apart ruins the story.
easy to get an a. want to learn something besides how to laugh at a man who consistantly pretends he's a professional sports player?-not your man
exactly...lay off the bible, man...geez its getting real old real fast and the class is becoming really uninteresting.....all we do is discuss bible or do vocab
Harvey is the best he's funny and talks about stuff thouroghly, if his talk on the bible bothers you speak out he won't fail you(i have a C and i like him!!
good teacher, but not in a public high school... more like Sunday school teacher. he picks things apart too much, and talks about ONE thing for WAY too long.
Mr.Harvey is an interesting man to say the least..he was always going on about unrelated subject...I STILL see him riding his bike around town!I liked him.
He is very vauge when he teaches, does not explain or teach us how he wants essays and other types of papers written, takes way too much time to grade our paper
He's famous for going on about things that don't really need that long of an describtion.
Mr. Harvey is a good guy with good intentions he just needs to lay off the Bible it tends to bother a lot of students. Overall he is one of my favorites though.
He is always late and procastinating. We handed in a book report the first day of school and its already 3 months and he haven't graded it! Nor the essay!
Although he says he values everyones opinions..it really comes down to his opinion or no opinion. If you like picking novels apat for weeks youll like Harvey.
mr.harvey only concerns himself with his own opinions and thoughts when we're reading a novel, he'll never validate the students thoughts.
Although by profession Mr. Harvey is an English teacher, I personally don't see him as a teacher of anything other then his own ideas or opinions, and the Bible
Harvey is a pretty easy teacher. Its not too difficult to get good grades in his class. However, when discussing a novel or poem or something of that nature he drones on and on about something for 15 minutes that could be explained clearly in 2.
Hes very fun but in a way sometimes odd- and I dont necessarily mean in the awesome way. He helps a lot with grammar- dont hate him for it later its a blessing.
