My son would rate Ms. Cella the best teacher in Irvington. He has said he learned more about the english language and writing from her class than any other class. I wish there were more teachers with her interest and enthusiasm for our children's education! Please never retire!
She taught her students anything and everything. I learned more French and English in her Latin class than I did in my French or English class. I succeeded in Bio as well as a result of her worldly knowledge.
Ms. Cell could be a college professor. The only reason she isn't is that she has such a passion for teaching us, and that really comes through. She completely changed my academic trajectory and put hours of individual time in for absolutely no reason other than to help me excel.
this person talks like she is a real Roman citizen
Amazing. She is the best teacher.
Ms. Cella is an absolutely fantastic teacher and an amazing person. I loved her class and learned so so much about Latin, English grammar, classical history, history in general, art, etc. Her stories are the best and her knowledge of the subject is immense. Latin changed the way I think about words and many other aspects of the world.
I love Ms. Cella so much. She is so passionate about what she teaches and if you put effort into her class she will do anything to make sure you're happy and having a great time learning Latin. She's so smart and I would not have wanted to be introduced to Latin by any other person. One should feel blessed to be in the presence of "The Magistra"
At 2102 years old, Michele Cella is the wisest most knowledgeable person in the entire world. No wonder she teaches Latin with such ease- she invented the language herself! Always making class interesting- Latin is a must to take at IHS.
BEST TEACHER IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!! I have never enjoyed a class so much.
Ms. Cella is one of smartest, if not the smartest teacher in Irvington High School. She speaks articulately and knows way more than any textbook. One of my favorite teachers. Magistra est quam diligentissim?
If Ms. Cella ruled the world, it would be a much better place. Salve!
Smart, Funny, Fair, and supportive. She should be teaching at the college level, because she is so deep thinking and respectful. But I hope she never leaves. She is a breath of fresh air in this stultifying place!
By Gawd. Hands down, best teacher in the whole of Irvington High School. Looking forward to having her for the next 3 years.
Ms. Cella is one of my favorite teachers. I have learned so much in her class this year and i feel that my english, as well as latin has improved a lot since the beginning of the year. She does make fun of some students when they get things wrong, but not too often, and if you study and make an effort (i.e. going in after school, before school, or during your free periods) she'll see that you're really trying to do well. I would definitely recommend students to take latin with Ms. Cella.
Michele Cella ... with one 'L' is absolutely amazing. She is a wonderful teacher and soososososososososososo helpful. She knows how to make the class fun and still be able to learn...sometimes. Her digressions are great, but pay attention! You get tested on them later. Her tests are about 200 points and her miderms are around 450 but you know so much and she is so great that you will ace it!
Ms. Cella is one of the worst teachers i have ever had, if you are good in her class she loves you but if you stryggle she is terrible to you and makes fun of you infront of everyone. She doesnt do anything to help her students if they need it. She is stuck in her old ways and wont accept that she can be wrong. She takes advantage of the fact that she knows she wont be fired. Also she does absolutly no work outside of class; she never grades tests and bases you grade on if she likes you or not.
Open toed shoes? :P My first introduction to Latin was as a High School freshman in 1983. She was one of the best teachers that I ever had. She loves what she does and it shows. I still think about her with great fondness over 20 years later. Treasure her - you'll learn a lot.
Ms. Cella is definitely the best teacher I have ever had. I sit in the front row every day just absorbing and learning so much. I always look forward to her class. She has a sense of humor, she is always ready to help kids out, and she wants every single one of us to succeed. I love Ms. Cella. She's just awesome.
i loveeee ms cella. shes so cool and is really easy to get along with... as long as you put effort into her class
Ms Cella is my favorite teacher. She teaches a challenging subject with clarity and eloquence. Try to get her on a digression; I've learned more form them than from any class I've ever taken!
a very interesting person really. oh well, she's alright if you just learn the stuff.
cella is awesome. she is so devoted to her students and to latin.
Ms Cella is one of the most knowledgeable teachers i've ever had. she is REALLLY passionate about latin and is a hard grader, but she is crule to some people.
ms cella is a great teacher/person if u no her after class but she cna be tough when giving u a grade
Cella makes my first year of Latin worthwild, I love her digressions nd constant jokes about certain students lol. She's cooL!
she is so biased and unfair in how she treats her students and handles her grades. she has no grade book, its all based on her personal feelings.
ms. cellas favorite hobby: embarassing the students she doesnt like in front of the entire class.
we love her -- a perfect 10 haha - she should digress more often
who said bad stuff about cella?!? -you're outnumbered by far -go sit in a corner. ms cella awesome
ms. cella is the worst teacher i have ever had. she has her favortie students and if ur not one of them......shes cruel!!
cella is awesome... 3rd year latin gets hard...still takin it cuz of cella tho... shes an amazing opportunity for great teaching...
Ms. Cella is awesome, very helpful, very funny, and always has a story. Ask about her rebelious period!
Very good class. Helps a lot with the SAT's. And you get a myth lesson too.
Cella ROCKS! If I had to switch schools, I'd never take Latin again b/c there is no other latin teachers as good as her out there!!
DIGRESSIONS! she never stops talking. LOL. ask about open-toed shoes...
