I loved this guy, and let me tell you why.
First of all, he's smart,
Undeniably so, in fact.
Couldn't find any faults, besides one
So there was this
Horrible child, and I won't name him, but
Understand that he was trash.
No one liked him, and he would
Go on to attempt to be Antrim's pet, but
Oh no, he would fail miserably.
Other than that, I loved Antrim, he is the reason I love chemistry and am still taking Chem classes to this day.
I really enjoyed Mr. Antrim's Class. Probably the hardest high school course I took at Woodbridge. The only part that I didnt like was Shungo Okubo.
Rest in Washington Mr. Antrim, thanks for the ez 5 <3
Really enjoyed AP Chem with Mr. Antrim! He is an amazing person, but beware, the class is pretty tough and has a lot of busy work (that will help you greatly of course).
Mr. Antrim is honestly one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is both funny and knowledgeable which makes class enjoyable. If you like science, you will love his class. It is a lot of work and can be stressful at times, but with Antrim as your teacher it's worth it and you know that you will get at least a 4 on the AP test no matter what! So sad he is retiring next year!
Take AP Chemistry, you will not regret at all. Mantrim is my life and love because his class is easy A. As many people say there are lots of work, but you'll be fine as long as you don't procrastinate. You do little each day, but don't procrastinate! Mantrim is the teacher who is monotone and the class is mostly self-study. Well, you don't need to since tests are easy. Tbh, idc about AP Chem Per. 1, the class I sleep or do my math hw.
I love Mantrim, thank you for giving Chem SAT 770 and 97.9%
Mr. Antrim is good at making gummy bears scream.
Mr. Antrim's honors chemistry has been one of the best classes I have ever taken. He is an awesome teacher and makes sure you understand the content before the test. His lessons are extremely informative, fun, and applicable as he likes to pull in references from his vast knowledge.
It can be hard to get his attention at times. But once Antrim helps you understand the lesson in his way, you will understand the lesson thoroughly. He will make you into an expert on it. He is a superior teacher.
This guy is the most memorable teacher I've had, but in a bad way. If you want to ask him a question, while class isn't in session, and he doesn't like you, there's a good chance he'll ignore you if he doesn't feel like talking to you. I know that sounds ridiculous, but it's happened more than once. To succeed in his class, you need to make a good impression in the first month of school.
I can say that if I had 1 hour left to live I would spend it in antrims AP chemistry class because it would be the looongest hour i can have...Yup that's all I can give him haha...class has unnecessary work and projects tests have tricks and no curve. avoid at all costs, though he knows the material.
Teaches well and makes sure that you can pass the AP exam. Very experienced and a cool guy.
Assigns an extreme amount of workload so this class will be a huge pain if you are taking multiple AP/honors. Tests are very difficult even if you study. If you want to get an A you need to devote nearly all your time to this class, not a joke! If this is your only class and if you put all your effort in it you will learn a lot and get at least a B- but otherwise it would be stressful.
Mr. Antrim is a big veteran and AP Chemistry was one of the most challenging class I've taken. I think Mr. Antrim is a wonderful teacher but I totally understand why people won't like him because of how hard the class was. Due to his position at school, it is a bit hard to approach Mr. Antrim because he is busy here and there, but overall I felt I learned a lot thanks to him.
Mr. Antrim is by far the worst teacher ever. He's knowledgeable in chemistry but he chooses not to teach during class. He also favors some periods over others in terms of extra credit and heads up on homework checks. There's way too much work. If you ask him a question, he will literally nod, then walk away. Then he puts things on the exam that were not covered in class and expects all his students to learn everything from his handy dandy chemcasts which are ultimately useless.
his chemistry class is way too stressful, loads of work. terribad.
Pretty good. Extremely knowledgeable. Although he can be a little vague and may overestimate some students, he is a more inspiring than some of the teachers around the school. Very smart
Mr. Antrim is an extremely smart guy. I struggled in his class because I'm bad at science, but he was always willing to help. Although he can be a bit forgetful at times, I really liked him and he's a wonderful person to talk to. And he's super cool
I learned a lot by myself, thanks Mr. Antrim </sarcasm>
AP: becomes a self-taught class. prepare for lots of homework and projects. run as far as you can if you want an easy grade. stay if you like studying and want to be a pre-med/chem/bio major and get ap credit (not worth the work, however).
You sacrifice your GPA for a good score on the AP exam. Not recommended for AP Chemistry since it's not worth the extra grade point. Gives a buttload of work. Recommended for future chemistry majors/pre-med students who like to study and memorize.
Pretty good teacher. Although exams may be a little tough.
I had him for one semester of honors chemistry. He was a very helpful teacher and assisted me whenever I needed help. The way he teaches is very amusing and his jokes during labs and demos make the class even more fun. His study guides take a lot of time to complete but in the end they help you a lot when the time comes to take the test. He usually allows late homework and is very understanding in the fact that there will be some nights where you just couldn't complete every single assignment.
His class was okay. I enjoyed honors better than ap (I didn't have him for honors though, had now retired (?) fosse). He obviously was a good teacher, I nearly had Cs both semesters and got a 5 on the AP. If you are looking for a high AP score, this is the best science ap to take.
Mr. Antrim is a great guy, but his lectures are boring and get off topic. He loves to interact with all of us and learn who we are, but I find that as much as I study for his tests, I never do well on them. It's probably because science isn't my thing. If you enjoy science, he is a great teacher to have. He likes to use different teaching methods and is always willing to listen to your opinions. He also brings in treats for my class and has competitions between classes for extra credit.
I was his student for his Honors Chemistry class. I thought he brought insight and fun to old topics that have been around for ages. His class was actually fun. Sometimes the workload is intense but usually its fine.
Lots of homework and workload, but AWESOME TEACHER!!!!!! LOVED HIM VERY MUCH!!! After taking Antrim, the AP Chem test was a breeze :)
his voice is like a lullaby everytime i go to his class its like being in heaven i really like explosions.
To be honest, his class is not very challenging. However, he doesn't care about his students and when you ask him a question... He ignores you. He is constantly on his computer and in February he was
He was my absolute favorite teacher! :D im having him for ap chem too ;) Super knowledgeable and teaches well too.
i love mr. antrim! idk y ppl dont like him but he's a pretty good teacher and he's funny. :D
I personally think his tests are ridiculous. Not a very good teacher in my opinion. Is not really that helpful
some call him part of the cosmos, but we all know is entropy is infinite. Chemistry is the essence of life and within the boundaries of thie class the known universe will feel infinitely small.
he is the master of knowledge. If you cannot handle his class you can not handle the real world. He is a real world person and as of this posting probably the best teacher at WHS. Not easy, but best
Took it for one semester, wasn't pleased about so much riding on our homework, but did enjoy his dry sense of humor.
great teacher! ya it is HONORS so it is going to be hard and at times not too exciting but he presents the challenging material in as simple and interesting way as possible. overall,, MR.A Rocks!
I love everything about him... uh.. except the homework checks that I literally get 0 on like half the times.
honestly, hes a great chemistry teacher! if you are willing to do the homework (VERY IMPORTANT) and put in the effort to study.. you will be fine. Warning- Honors is a hard class with heavy work load
Mr. Antrim is an amazing teacher. I don't even like science but I love his class. He is funny in his own way and always explains with enthusiasm and clarity
mr.antrim = the best science teacher i've ever had. he may talk a lot but i've never understood chemistry more than when he teaches it.
Boring class, lots of busywork, and is very nerdy. He doesn't have the best people skills/public speaking. Expect to have difficulty paying attention. Your grade should be fine if you do the work.
sooooooooo boring. i fall asleep in his class almost every day. he gives WAY too much busy work and his class moves so fast. he's alright though. he makes sure you understand the concepts.
So much busy work for AP Chem (lots of random problems). Moves very fast - like SG at beg. of week, test at end. Can be boring and forgetful, and class is hard. Pretty cool tho :p
He's soo incredibly boring.. its beyond belief. You're bound to go to sleep with the lights out and the sound of his monotone voice, it would also help if i cou
LOVE this guy , hes wayy chill! Likeable , and passing his class IS possible ..i took his honors chem class .. i actually DID learn, for HONORS..u WANT this guy
he knows what he is talking about but if you ask him individually he seems like he doesn't care
Knows wat's his talking about. It is only up to the students to ask...Love the demos...don't get into the bad side of him
such an awesome teacher even though the class can be a tiny bit boring sometimes but still such a good class
awesome chem teacher.........very easygoing and cool, though his classes could use a little "spark"
Cool Chem teacher. Cool Demonstrations!!!!hey, he should join the sci teacher band!!
So i graduated from woodbridge 4 years ago.. and mr. antrim is the best teacher at that school. I learned more from him than from anyone else. Yeah mole day!
long pauses and staring into space is the worst.....boredom beyond belief when he lectures...
It's hard not to fall asleep in the dark room. He goes over things way to many times, so the concepts become a little repetive.
sometimes a bit confusing, but i learned a lot, and he is extremely cool, often.
very nice and caring teacher, but he speaks too softly and can be somewhat dull. hard to not fall asleep during class. (ap chem)
arg! way way too much hw... its all busy work... it doesnt help at all... he doesnt help at all. nice guy tho
AP Chem was a blast! Awesome teacher! Doesn't sign year books though.
not the greatest teacher, but i really learned a lot. he know's what he wants to say, he just can't say it.
He's so boring! and most of the time i have no idea what he's talking about.
so boring, i can't stay awake! knows a lot about science, but is too technical, so half of the class doesn't know what he's talking about
Nerd, but hey, he's a chem teacher. Sometimes he gets carried away on uselless c
incredibly helpful teacher, knows how to do a good demo. Liquid nitrogen rocks.
Nice guy, very understanding. Lectures are a bit boring, but he's a good teacher
Periods of extreme boredom interspersed with cool explosions
excellent teacher, good explanations of topics, he is very chill and fun teacher
