Mr Hilty was one of my favorite teachers. I was used to getting easy "A's" in school. In Chemistry I had to really buckle down and work hard, I walked away with a "B" in his class, but I was very proud of that grade. I knew I had really earned it. He helped you really take charge of your experience in his class by teaching and making you aware of the choices you were making that would affect your future grades (like note taking, and 'freebies'
I had Mr Hilty for science in the 9th grade and now I'm in my forties and I still remember him fondly. He was a great teacher but what I liked best about him was that he genuinely liked kids. He mad
I had him 10 years ago and he's one of the few that really stretched me at LW. He's classic. His class was challenging and prepared me to be successful in college. Highly recommend.
I remember his class was hard but Mr. Hilty's passion for chemistry and science made the class fun. Delightfully didactic!
he is an awesome teacher, not easy but a great teacher. Does some interesting and fun experiments! If you plan to slack off don't take his class. But he make the subject fun.
Mr. Hilty is the best Chemistry teacher there is. He is very difficult but if you work hard and ask questions you will get a lot out of his class. He is the reason I like Chemistry.
Hilty is awsome. You gotta love the Friday slideshows of his trips around the world.
