Mr. Samordic has been the most entertaining and challenging teacher I have ever encountered. He is essentially a genius man-child that simply knows calculus like the back of his hand. He does examples on the board and writes out the solution step by step so you can see the methodology used. He also derives equations (sometimes) to give a sense of intuition for them. Without a doubt the best mathematics teacher I've had the pleasure to learn from.
Haha! Mr. Samordic sounds a little bit like Forest Gump but he's a fantastic teacher. AP Calc is hard but it's definitely possible to get an A if you're diligent. He explains easier methods to do problems in the book and shortcuts sometimes, but it isn't always very clear what he's saying or where he's going. Great teacher overall!
hilarious guy! he often goes too fast while talking/writing things on the board, so it's hard to keep up. we'd usually look at each other in class and be like "guys what's going onnnn?" you'll probably need to study quite a bit on your own if you get him, which i didn't mind...still pulled a 5 on the AP test. what he does that helps the most is that he goes over ANYTHING and everything you want him to. any problem you choose, he'll do it for you. a lot of EC too! GO HOKIES!
I had him for AP Calculus BC. He's really funny in a sort of odd way, and he's really nice, but I needed to get other students to teach me. His teaching style was writing things on the board as he said them. He didn't give very much explanation. I enjoyed his class because of his fun personality, but I could not learn from him. However, if you're naturally really good at math, you'll love everything about the class.
Really smart...but he doesn't exactly know how to teach it to the students. Either you get it or you don't.
Ap Calc was an easy, fun, class. Great personality :D.
He was a good teacher, but a bit too smart for his own good, as everyone else has a little trouble keeping up. Has no volume control and always shouts, I had to keep Tylenol in my locker that year.
The best teacher at Eleanor Roosevelt hands down. His jokes as well as his teaching skills are superior. If you dont agree, he will address you as "UCFP (you communist fascist pig)" from now on.
Absolutely wonderful teacher. Very funny, very smart. I actually thought he was pretty easy to understand.
Pretty cool, he's funny, wicked smart, and teaches pretty well. His only real problem is that he knows so much, he has a hard time explaining it to us.
He's Prety cool. His clas is easy although he doesnt realy give us enough time to realy do the *class work* because as soon as he gives it to us he does it 4 us
He's a pretty cool guy but has a hard time explaining because he's so smart and knows the stuff. Sometimes I don't understand his jokes.
Mr. Samordic is ok. Sometimes I don't understand his jokes. I did so badly on one test that he just gave me 4 extra bonus points. This dude is smart like whoah.
oh mr samordic. he is a funny guy. he tells the best stories, and they all end with him getting arrested. i mean, i hate calc, but i do enjoy his class.
he is the funniest teacher ever. he isnt oo hard to understand as long as you can follow what steps he omits in his explanation. hilarious stories.
Very funny. Uses humor to keep class interesting. Acts like he's stupid to make everybody comfortable, but in reality is really really smart. Great guy!
Awesome calc teacher!!!! I loved his class and I will never forget him. Hilarious stories (ask him about trecks in his Santa Suit). Great teacher too.
He's a hilarious guy, but he's so smart that it's hard for him to teach to students on a different intellectual level than him.
