I had Mr Williams over 3 years ago. He was the most awesome teacher I had. The assignments are a bit long. I just didn't like the fact that he spent a whole day teaching us how to write thesis statements. Some of the assignments and the tests can be confusing, but if you put in the work, it will pay off!
Mr. William's was one of my favorite teachers of Lynbrook. I had him for US History and you truly get a lot out of the course. His assignments are really fun to complete (heads up, he'll will use Google Classroom a lot). If you study and complete assignments diligently, you'll be fine. The only thing is that he grades essays really strangely..but overall, he's pretty great and super chill!
Really great teacher for AP Gov. He made the class super interesting, and going to class was actually pretty exciting! His workload is a bit high, since you have to take notes for a few hours per week and review the textbook for weekly quizzes and large unit tests. However, his assessments are pretty straightforward and fair, and if you try in his class you can do well pretty easily.
mr williams is an inspiration for me, always understands students well and tries his best. great sense of humor we can all relate to. creative ways of teaching and i actually understand material and learn without being bored. truly caring and kind, very lenient and helpful when you need him. easy to approach. he is one of the only two teachers i love at lhs. learned a lot of useful information in his class (how to write essays, approach tests) so helpful. great example of teaching. love him
Kind of hard to describe. Seriously, with Williams it's personal preference. Some people like the way he teaches and others don't. Grades weirdly hard on essays so brace yourself.
mr williams was pretty good, his stories were interesting. fun class :] he was very very funny. although when i went back to visit him, he forgot who i was >:O
williams is...interesting. He can be a little OCD about homework, meaning, he'll grade like he grades test, he won't give a 20/20 just because you did it. But overall his class is reasonable and he tries really hard to teach you the material
Great teacher, definitely covers everything thing you need to know to do well in college intro. economics. He actually reads your things in detail, so put effort into explaining concepts well and concisely.
Seriously hilarious guy. Plus, we actually do learn a fair bit of material.
If you HATE gov and takes AP gov, you'll most likely end up with a B in his class. There is a lot of HW and participation is a big part of his class. He is very helpful and lenient to some extent. Do all the work and do not BS. He actually reads your HW. Test questions can be ambiguous, but if you really know your material then it shouldn't be a problem.
Cool teacher, a lot of papers, he's very willing to help you in any way possible if you go in and talk to him. He has his good and bad days though.
everything is done in class b/c he knows that seniors won't do it otherwise, super cool and likes to teach you life lessons, especially about male egos, it's hilarious!
Although disappointed that AP govt was in no way as engaging as AP History, it nonetheless had its interesting moments. Particularly enjoyed the discussions. Econ had way too many useless worksheets.
This guy is AWESOME! His class is really a breeze if you actually try on his assignments and test and get to class on time. He is really a sympathetic and cool teacher but tends to sidetrack on why he is doing something.
Williams is THE man! He is for sure one of my favorite teachers. He goes out of his way to make sure you're ok, and cares about his students a lot. Looking forward to Econ! But the first unit exam makes you feel like you almost want to quit the class.
Williams is THE man! He's always willing to help you out and makes sure you're up to date with everything that's going on in class. He has made U.S. Government one of my favorite classes and I'm looking forward to Econ. He's straight-up gangstaa.
williams is awesome. all you need to do is read the textbook in order to do well on his ap gov tests. he obviously knows his stuff well and his class is fun. and he's got BIG GUNS
Williams is very approachable and talked with me outside of class which helped me alot. Tests and quizes were very hard but class discussions were fun. If I had to change anything it would be the test on the summer reading cuz nobody knew what to expect
not very organised, but he really tries to get everything done. towards the end of the semester, we did more hands on work; i liked that. he's really nice and fun to learn from. i liked watching a bug's life for my final, but the questions were hard
The class wasn't challenging and the level and quality of analysis cannot be compared to AP US History. However, I can't see any other way to run a semester-long government course, and Mr Williams tied the material to current events very well.
ap gov was a hard class, but it could fun too. i loved the in class discussions, and i did learn a lot. The only thing I would want changed is the test in the beginning of the year. everyone bombed it cause no one knew what to expect
Very nice guy, though, first semester ap gov was EXTREMELY unorganized. Speaking on behalf of my fellow peers, I think we all felt like we never really got much done or learned anything, we spent 2/3 of the period talking about what we were going to do.
he's a good teacher if your a senior. helps you get your ec-on.
relaxing, fun, easy going. i guess hez proly da teacher u would wana take for ur sr yr econ.
awesome teacher! he really cares about his students and is a lot of fun. the funny thing about him is that he gets distracted sometimes and walks away. lol!
One of the best teachers I've ever had. I wish I could be half as cool as he is.
prob the best teacher in this school!! we love u man!!
He is the BEST teacher in the entire school!!! He is loved by all!!!!
This guy has a passion for his job. When he could make millions hed rather teach
