She is overqualified for being a teacher and very dedicated, but not good at actually teaching the concepts.
Hard class, but she is easily the best teacher I have ever had.
You can see that she truly has a love for math and thoroughly understands all of it. Her note taking system makes learning very easy to understand. Her tests are on the difficult side, but can be made up through extra credit. She is very nice and will not hesitate to answer every question. Also very strong, as we found out she was doing chemo therapy and teaching at the same time! She's just great all around.
She is super knowledgable about math which makes the lessons much more understandable. She's also super passionate about teaching math and LOVES her job...you can tell by how excited she gets while doing notes (which makes me happy). She has a very routine teaching style so I'm always up to date with what's going on in the class. The only downside of her class is that her tests are very hard and she grades them pretty strict. She is always willing to help you prepare though, and ALWAYS study.
she is very passionate about math and does a good job teaching. The tests are really hard and there's a lot of homework. I understood all of the notes and hw but when it came to the test I did terribly. She tends to only like the students that understand the math.
She is a truly passionate teacher who loves math all the time. She's always there to help with opportunities for extra credit for every chapter. Her class is purely math and no weird "math" projects that just consume time. Very on top of planning her lessons and balancing time to pack in every important concept. BY FAR the best and my favorite math teacher I've had.
MIMI'S THE BEST! She absolutely loves math, which comes across so obviously in her teaching. She wants everyone to appreciate calculus like she does, so she is very clear, and gives you great background to theorems. She knows the answer to LITERALLY every question. She taught me how to love math, and I will always be thankful for her passion. Don't be afraid to ask questions, always study, and do the extra credit. She is very fair, and very kind. Don't back down from the Calc B/C challenge!
She is an extremely knowledgable teacher who knows what she's doing. She always can clear things up for me when I'm confused and there's plenty of fair opportunities to get your grade up with extra credit and retakes.
She is a very precise teacher who teaches only through notes. However, if you pay attention and try your best, you'll do fine. She is extremely knowledgable and is very on task. She is a funny, quirky teacher, but I got used to her and like her class
Best math teacher I have ever had. Always willing to help and explains better than anyone. She makes her tests difficult but it's so worth it because you come out with such an advanced grasp on the concepts. She's honestly a genius. I also love how she sticks strictly to math and never digresses. Anyone who has anything negative to say about her is just bitter because they didn't put in the effort to do well in her class.
I love Mrs. Woods!!! She is a GENIUS at math and always knows exactly how to help you. She is willing to help if you put in the effort and go to her at tutorial. You can learn a lot if you try.
She's very into the subjects, which is good. Unless you understand the subject you're screwed. She doesnt like helping people that don't understand the subjects. Her teaching methods are strickly notes
very tough class. probably the toughest class on campus. but you will definetly learn a lot. she is a great teacher and helps a lot. make sure you do your work and ask questions!
Mimi is not a good teacher. Her notes and hw do not match her tests, so you are set up to do poorly. This is my second yr with her and I sometimes have the urge to shoot myself in the face. If you have her for precald hnrs i advise get out or good luck
Great teacher who knows what she is teaching. I asked her a question that stumped her so she went home and figured it out and had the answer for me the next day. I don't think I have ever had a teacher that did that. Do all your homework!
Alot of hw, probably an unfair amount, but ive had her so lon gi cant remeber what a reasonble math load is. Shes really nice and helpful though, and she's always there at lunch and tutorial to help students which anyone who doesnt do the hw will need
Here's a teacher who knows how to teach. You will learn in her class, the sad part is that you will learn by completing as much of her homework as is possible in a 24 hour day... not enough time...
she gives out insane amounts of homework but she is still a very good teacher who is genuinely passionate about and an expert on her subject matter and for that i respect her.
Ms. Woods is sooo good. In the beginning of the year I didn't like her so much because of the homework load, but she explains everything perfectly and her system of teaching is structured and clear. She is now was of my all-time best teachers!!!!!!
GET OUT OF HER CLASS! ONLY FOR LEARNING PURPOSES! SHE GIVES OUT TOO MUCH HW. I had to get a paper of her face and stab it EVERY TIME I DID H/W! She's a good teacher though. She'll smile and laugh, but she's EXTREMELY STRICT. Just stay quiet in her class.
Mrs. Woods may assign way too much homework, but she is still a really good teacher. If you actually do allof her howework you are set for algebra 2. Her notes are really thorough and helpful. SHe is overall a really good teacher.
Wow.. this is far, far too much homework being assigned. The homework actually can make up a pretty large chunk of the grade too, which is even worse due to how utterly time consuming it is. Other than that, she's a top-notch, diligent teacher.
She assigns way too much homework, and the way she does partial credit on tests is totally unfair. but she's very helpful and knows what she's doing.
She actually taught me somthing... but she assignes way too much homework and can be really unfair somtimes.
miss woods is a VERY good teacher, i recommend paying attention in class cuz it helps loads
Miss Woods if you're reeding this try to keep the volume somewhat constant when you lecture. Its kind of jolting when you raise your voice randomly.
