My DD had Maes for math 2 years ago. Maes loves Math and is knowledgable but, she cannot teach it. Her speed was way too fast for teaching algebra to middle schoolers who were also getting used to taking notes from her verbally. She rarely wrote defs on the board. She refused requests from students 2 repeat some things, didn't offer afterschool help, snapped at kids slow to pick up on topic, had many conf with many parents and gc, moved to 6th grade after that disaster year. peers ? ability also
