Let me list a few things that are wrong about Mrs. Tobison. -She always arrives to class late. -She picks favorites. -She only knows the names of half of the students in class. -She skipped class to focus on the musical. -She slapped a student and bragged about it. -She mentally and physically abusing students. -If she doesn't like your voice, she will ignore you. -She's always rude. -She's racist. She said that we needed black people to make our choir sound good.

She is honestly one of my favorite teachers because she knows her field very well and she produces great shows and musicians. One thing I don't like about her is that she puts you on the spot a whole lot and if, when she puts you on the spot and you mess up, she puts you down and discourages you. She also expects you to either know a lot coming into class or learn quickly without her fully explaining things. Most kids in my class need a tutor because she doesn't fully explain things.

Call it brown nosing but I really appreciate Ms. Tobison. She knows what she is talking about. She's an incredible musician who manages to pull together hundreds of squirrelly high school students, like myself, to produce an incredible musical experience in both the choral concerts, and musicals. Sounds dumb, but if one appreciates music, you would understand. Yes, she can be tough, but you can understand why because it is necessary at most times. I just wish more people recognized this.

Mrs. Tobison is a bully and should not be working with such impressionable kids. She has no respect for the emotional damage she does to the student and should not be anywhere near students that are doing something that they love and not required by the school. Without the students she would be jobless. Barrington High School should be ashamed for allowing this mentally abusive instructor to be involved in any program that molds our future.
