Good teacher, bent things toward her own political perspective, but it was an enjoyable class when non-political topics were discussed. She was always very kind and caring towards us.
Her Theory of Knowledge class was a lot of fun (2011). She has so much spunk for a professor, and her course was not only engaging but literally made you question everyday life. It was almost a meditative experience in the thoughts that we passed 'round. She was quite approachable and went out of her way to make you enthusiastic about what you were learning.
In terms of her skills as a history professor, that I do not know, but I know that she loves teaching and does a great job at it.
Nancy Ballard in my experience was a phenomenal teacher. She ignited my passion for learning and history,(as was her class at my time of enrollment) she allowed open dialogue that in hindsight furthered my understanding and shaped my ability for comprehension in the sixteen years since taking her class. I'm happy to read that she is still teaching and would without a doubt recommend her as an instructor. Her enthusiasm for knowledge alone is refreshing in the landscape that is public schooling.
She is a very good teacher. Very engaging, very good at promoting comprehension. She skews things towards her viewpoint a bit, but I don't mind as I share similar viewpoints. Works current events into history very well. Her tests are challenging, but if you pay attention and study they aren't bad. Makes use of technology a fair amount. Doesn't like phones, so a bit annoying that way. A reasonable number of group projects that are always easy. One of my favorite teachers at Skyline.
Ms. Ballard was a great teacher. I have long since moved away, but I still recollect just how intelligent and caring she was with our class. Sometimes she was hard, but that's when I really learned
Ms. Ballard gets into history and makes it fun to learn! She is a wonderful teacher and won't ignore students!
I had Ms. Ballard as a teacher this year. She was very interesting and didn't always use the textbook. Her class one of the few that I enjoyed going to and I loved her enthusiam.
She's a good teacher, she is really enthusiastic about the things she teaches. Watch out though- her tests are difficult.
If you want to be a cheerleader then go back to high school but since you cant and you are a teacher and getting paid to be a teacher stop being a cheerleader.
in my mind all she cared about was her team and shes still stuck in high school
