Very confusing. Unclear assignments. Can be nice at times, also mean. Great play director, but hard teacher.
Great director and theatre teacher. Never had her for english so can't say much there.
She seems like a very nice person, but as an english teacher she seems a little out of her element. Drama is definitely her forte!
Bordewyk is something of a paradox. She is often nothing short of infuriating during plays, but in class she's unbelievably nice. Her attempts at being "cool" are reminiscent of The Office's Michael Scott, however.
Not impressed. She was always right, even when she wasn't. Wouldn't listen to students point of view. Class of 96
For those who don't like Mrs. Bordewyk (and I used to be one of those), take a drama class. When directing, she is tough as nails, but as a teacher she is surprisingly nice.
I had Mrs. B at GRHCS in 1990-1992. She is a perfectionist - true...but her plays turn out much better than those at other schools where I was involved in theatre. I respect her.
Yes Mrs.B can be harsh. In these four years with her she has upset and frustrated me but in the end we produce a great show, and isn't that all that matters?
Overall she was fairly easy though she would constantly change her mind and expect the students to know when she did this.
