Fortunately, I had her for one semester. Unfortunately, I had her as a teacher. Although she seemed to push students to write better, I honestly think mine got worse. She rejected any idea that I had for essays and I ended up being very annoyed by her. Sure, she has been to many different places and has gained knowledge from those places. But she can't convey her thoughts clearly which is why I felt like I didn't learn anything. I feel so bad saying this but I'm glad she is retiring this year.
She passes everyone, so you'll do fine in her class, but do you LEARN anything? no. She misses the point of what many students say, so she just nods her head cuz she doesn't get it
Those of you who mock anyone's speech need to evaluate yourself. Let's see how well you would do in front of a roomful of people. How childish!
Very..umm..nice and clearly intelligent and helpful, but she may not be the most 'to the point' teacher D-E has.
Being in foreign countries doesn't make her worldly or facinating. She makes herself seemingly open-minded while she pushes her opinions onto her students.
If you actually LISTEN to her, instead of listlessly mocking her, you will find that she is an incredibly fascinating person. She has been everywhere!
ummm... ummm, open your ummm ummm, novels, to umm page 35 and begin to umm, uhh, read.
She lectures her opinions at the class, and ignores students who have differing ones.
