She retired but her son (Mr. Carravetta), works in the study center, which is located in the art hall. He also is a math teacher. He's also very nice and chill, just like his mother. She will continue the legacy with her son for many years.
She has retired from the Great Neck Public School District as of July 2015, as her contract has stated.
Thank you all for you feedback!
Best teacher ever I love her so much she's so fun.
As long as you study for her tests, you should have a good relationship with her. Believe me you have to be a lazy moron to fail her class. Its easy to get an A in her class.
SHE IS AMAZING! You will have the best time with her. Math class is my favorite class of the day. She makes everything easy to understand. Though her tests are a bit harder than what she teaches in class, she is one of the fairest graders in the school. If you ask questions she explains everything so you can understand. She is pretty laid back, and knows that we have a lot of other work, and understands students. She doesn't give a lot of homework. Have fun and DON'T switch out!
Ms. Carravetta was one of the nicest and most helpful teachers I ever had. She's always there to help if you don't understand something.
I LOVE NELLA. In all seriousness, if you do the homework and make it evident that you care, you will do extremely well.
i don't understand why people keep rating ms. carravetta low. she's one of the best math teachers ever. her and goldberg are both flawless. she's very nice and clear in class and makes it somewhat interesting for a math class. i got on her good side on the first side with super niceness and then got
she is good but teaches really slow, going over each thing a lot of times even though everyone understands it.
She loves her students and is probably one of the best teachers I have ever had. Awsoooooooooooooome
She only likes the smart kids andn picks on you if she thought u wernt paying attention. its really hard to understand what she is talking about if u miss a class. and its really hard to catch up.
she totally loves the smart students and doesnt treat her other students as well.
maybe her accent isn't the best, but she can speak four different languages,so it's excusable. She's a great teacher anyway.
She's pretty good...but if u get 100s on every test she will LOVE you...she's still nice if u don't do well...but she is totally partial to the smartest in teh class
if you not a great math student or math is a weak subject for you GET OUT OF HER CLASS QUICK! She's sooo unclear and doesn't know how to teach the weaker math students... but she is a nice teacher. Do
i cant stand her accent, maybe its not her fault but her voice is EXTREMELY unbearable. However i still did well so i guess shes an ok teacher.
shes great person but doesnt teach very well cause shes partial toward her students who get 100 on EVERY test. i mean come on. everyone else is just a nuisance
Ms C is the best math Teacher ever do not hate on her. A++++++++++++++++++
it isn't her fault if she has an accent, so don't go around judging her teaching skills cuz of that. she is very dedicated to her students and is always ready to give extra help :D
Shes a nice person, but a little on the unclear side. On hard problems she says, "Look its so easy." But, NEWS FLASH, your a Math teacher, of course its easy.
True, she can get angry, but it usually doesn't last more than a few seconds. And she doesn't give us much hw; usually just about 7 problems. Not a bad teacher.
doesnt finish her sentences and leaves us half hanging. she asks us if we understand, but when we tell her that we dont, she gets angry and impatient. =/
she gets sort of impatient sometimes, and she goes really quickely on some things. if youre not so good at math you need to be able to go to extra help a lot
i've never had her, but i sat in her class once and she didn't seem to be very clear and efficient in her teaching methods and her explaining.
shes really nice and all, but she isnt a good teacher
I love the way she teaches and how dedicated she is to her students.
