Nelson is one of the best teachers in Walnut High School. His lectures are so interesting because he ties it in with real life situation. Also, in his class, you get to do a lot of hands on practice. A must take if you like some intro to medical.

Mr. Nelson is a very kind-hearted man. People can insult him and say he's a bad teacher, but if you think about it, it's hard to teach such a dull subject - all a teacher really can do is lecture. He barely gives you homework which is great considering how much homework you have for other classes and his tests are fairly easy if you study. He wants all his students to succeed. Because the school isn't doing the grade change anymore, he has a practice AP test that can change that. Amazing man!

BOOOOOOOOO not a good teacher..students have to self study, but thats not the bad part. The bad part is that he gives out homework from other chapters when we have tests the next day. its pretty ridiculous.

okay so he's not the best teacher, but he's really nice.the worksheets that he gives for hw are actually pretty useful even if he never checks them.the class is super chill and if you ask questions and work hard, you'll do fine.you have to study on your own a little though.

I had him for AP US history. The class was alright. But since he doesn't give that much hw and the class is not intense. You gotta just prepare the test on your own. Set a separate time for studying for U.S. history. Mr. Nelson is really nice. Just work hard, and you will be fine.

He favors girls that are pretty or are cheerleaders. He has a monotone voice that makes you fall asleep during his lectures. I had him for AP and during his lectures, he just read out of the book. It's a self-study class, so study by yourself if you want a 4 or a 5 on the AP test. Only good thing: barely any HW for AP and his end of the year BBQ.

Nelson was my FAVORITE teacher! He was more like a friend to everyone. All his homework was just coloring pages. He has his days but he's probably the best teacher I had until I graduated!

he's pretty cool and funny at times, but for APUSH you really gotta do a LOT of studying on your own. He always randomly picks someone and asks them questions during class, so i literally memorized the history book to avoid embarrasement lol, but it's helpful i guess.

well maybe you guys can't just rely strictly on the teacher, you have to meet them halfway, your grade and AP scores depend on the teacher and YOU, i got a 5 because I actually studied on my own time as well. You can't blame the teacher for everything, it's partially your fault if you don't bother to study

He is nice and humorous, but doesn't really help students who struggle through his class. Slow in teaching and always try to play catch up. I don't know how I am gonna pass the AP exam.

(US History AP), disorganized notes taken straight from the book, a lot of self-repetition, and wasted time spent threatening about how hard the exam is .... however, as a person, he's pretty cool.
