Although I think Marv does know his stuff when it comes to European History, he doesn't communicate well to his students. Literally, days before the A.P. exam, he would show us his vacation photos. I think showing vacation photos as a lesson could be done well, but Marv really just shows them in a random order. Marv is a nice guy and will help you if you ask for it, but really, rely more on the textbook and workbooks when it comes to the A.P. exam or Euro tests in general
He's a really cool and funny guy. Don't rely on him to make sure you know everything when the AP comes. Keep your textbook and workbooks as your #1 source for information in the class.
Absolutley incompetent to teach a AP level class, he thinks its show and tell and the weeks before the AP test he would spend at least 3 out of 5 days a week showing as compleatly irrelvent photos of Washington DC, Africa and Japan and barley any on the subject matter ie.EUROPE. He doesnt know even how to pretend to be helpful.
I learned AP Euro by myself this year-without his help. His lessons DON'T help you on his tests. He's a nice guy, but he forgets a lot (losing essays etc.) and I've lost my passion for history.
