His philosophy class is not too difficult, but still challenging. Some of the required reading just plain sucks and is super boring, like the Palmer book, but there are some more interesting tasks. There are also a lot of essays to write, so be prepared.
He cares more about whether you do your work than if it's on time. As long as you as you actually put the effort in to make up stuff you missed it doesn't really matter if you ever go to class. (Trust me I missed about a month straight of Philosophy my senior year.) But if you do attend class, you will learn more than you bargained for and will have fun doing it.
Yeah he picks favorites, but hey guess what, be one. Big deal. He challenges you to think from a different perspective, welcome to philosophy people. If you actually make an effort he will listen and has even changed his perspective when discussing with me. If you actually make any effort whatsoever and don't be 100% annoying, you can easily get on his good side. Droege has very creative assignments and listens to student critique. He is by far the best teacher I've ever had and changed how I view the world
Ahhh, do not take a class of his. He's think he's right about everything and that he is the best teacher ever. It gets really annoying, really fast. He points out the worst qualities of people and their work, instead of the better things, and it's not a very good method of teaching. Avoid Droege.
He doesn't stay focused really well, which is somewhat a blessing in disguise because you could get him off track with anything...he is very nice, but he definatly has his favorites
most unorganized teacher ever. he made me REALLY mad sometimes. but other times he was the best teacher
Interested and passionate about teaching his IB ToK classes, Mr. Droege makes the material fun. He's always willing to sidebar or slow down if a question is asked, and is rarely unavailable if you look for him outside of class. A fun and educational teacher to have!
Tok really grows on you after a while! I hated it, but now I look forward to the class! and Drogee is a wonderful teacher- he even gets us snacks, and lets us play games! I recommed his classes to IB!
I think he tries to force his ideas on everyone else. I don't really enjoy being forced to write about what he believes. But he does make you look at things from different sides :)
Who said they like TOK? Droege's okay but TOK is such a waste of time!!!
We love ya droegster roadster-don't worry about changing your room around!
My problem with Mr. Droege is that he seems to feel that he is superior to his students, and thus does not try to be on the level with them in discussion.
I love his class!!! He is an awesome teacher, he makes everything much easier and enjoyable. He is never lazy to do something fun....
Understanding&passion for subject is apparent in his use of reason&connections. His teaching capabilities r only shadowed by his incredible character! Wonderful!
i dun like people that dun like droege. come on he is awesome. he is helpful, easy, and cool. i like the idea of "snacks" hmm snacks..
droege may be standoff-ish at first, but get to know him and he's an AWESOME man.
I love droege to death-- all yall can say whatcha want and some may not agree with his teaching style but i love it. I'm very laid back and so is he. BONUS!
Droege is a great teacher, and very knowledgeble!! TOK rocks!!! Debate is the best!!!
I had some troubles getting along with Droege, but apparently he's much better teaching philosophy. I did indeed learn a lot from his class and he's a cool guy
o my god, i couldn't stand that class!! not EVERYTHING has to do with philosophy! its english! i hated him
I Love Mr. Droege...He's so cool, nice, and a really good teacher. I've learned a lot from him and he is awesome
Worst arrogant moronic teacher ever. His chosen hobby is debate because he cannot conceive any ideas of his own; he must prove those of others.
he is awesome! whats with you people who have given him bad scores?? wont you have it so that a teacher can actually teach instead worry about their owm image?
Um. Religion and philosophy don't mix. Yelling at students and then needing them don't mix.
