Well prepared. Really cares about his class. Helpful.
Still thankful for him over two decades later since he first taught my eldest and a decade since my youngest. He was needed to balance out another who acted like a crazy person in same subject area KC/akaKLo ... Mr Simone helped restore self esteem. He loaned his notes so my "child" could study alone and receive a 5 on AP exam to avoid that crazy woman in senior year. I met him recently and thanked him for the extreme success of now two adults but he doesn't take credit; unlike crazy woman!!!
I knew this teacher his very first year at FPM, 1995 through 2010. All my "children" were taught by him several times. He looks ahead and as young as 8th grade, loks ahead to AP and doesn't accept mediocrity. Mr. Simone stands out as one of the best teachers.
He is the best teacher ever. He never gave us hw and also never copied a single sentence of notes
Had him in the 8th grade for regents. Then again in 11th for AP. Great with students. A little opinionated and comes off as arrogant, but I think it is just to challenge students to think of ideas for themselves. The AP class was a little dull because of the material but he made it a bit more interesting. He is very sarcastic which can be funny and annoying sometimes. Very good at preparing for both exams (Regents/AP). Values hard work and passion over raw intelligence. EQ+PQ>IQ.
OMGG!! I love mr.Simone!! But seriously enough with eating pizzas! miss your class alot !!
hes so nice!!!! no one hates him in my class evryday my class has so much fun in social studies and i got a 100 average!!!
I love Mr. Simone! Probably my favorite social studies teacher. He's so nice and we played games like Jeopardy in class occasionally. I remember we used to break into teams and if we won, we would get
HE IS ONE OF THE BEST TEACHER.. I PERSONALLY NEVER LIKE U.S HISTORY BUT AFTER I HAD HIM I LOVE IT NOW..
Very upbeat, and truly loves his job. Just wish he could involve everyone in his political tangents.
Truly the best teacher.Without bullying the students he encourages&helps them tap their full potential. He is also a mentor&positive roll model. Take his classes or talk to him&you'll be glad you did.
Mr. Simone is on of the best teachers at fpm. He cares about his students, is a genuinely kind man, does all he can to prepare us for the ap and regents, and is just an awesome guy and great friend<3
He's an awesome guy, and a great friend, maybe a little unapproachable as a teacher. He's not too accepting when you are wrong and is a bit fake and obnoxious, but i still <3 him!
He's awesome. Great teacher. He prepared us so much for the AP test and really challenges you, but while having fun. Just awesome. There needs to be more teachers like him.
Nick Simone (as well as Denise Hayden) is my inspiration to become a teacher. He truly understands what needs to be done to improve public education. Too few like him.
Regardless of the fact that some people can't handle mild criticism and also can't spell, Nick Simone is truly one of the most amazing teachers I have ever come across.
Nice of him to take up the time retyping what it says in the textbook with a few sarcastic notes, but ineffective, and is it possible to have the Napoleon complex when you're tall?
I agree with ther previous rater...also, Simone does not prepare you for college history courses...not once did I receive typed up notes with the occassional "fill in the blank"
simone favors people that don't deserve to be favored.
Just an awesome, laid-back teacher. More should be like him, and school would be so much better
This is what teaching is about. He has his irritable moments, but he is a model that other teachers should follow. Intelligent and fun.
Great teacher. Can really make a class interesting. He has his favorites though.
