My experience has been terrible. Her class is incredibly stressful and she is extremely unclear about paper requirements and homework. She I also obsessed with turn it in and plagiarism and required crazy low percentages which require removing almost all quotes from papers. She often explains grammar incorrectly and blames the systems. Would not recommend.

Finley spends half her time complaining about students and everyone else and what they did wrong. She spends the rest of the time talking on her phone complaining about what everyone else does wrong! If she ever could look in the mirror at herself, maybe she would FINALLY start complaining to the right person! She's a horrible role model as a teacher, and she personifies why students hate school!

Being in Mrs. Finley's class is truly amazing. She's super helpful and pushes us to be our best (even though some may not like it). I wouldn't want any other English teacher.

easily the most confusing, unqualified, ignorant, distracted teacher you will ever encounter. if you get her, SWITCH OUT she gives the SO much work and it is NEVER beneficial. she always confuses the whole class and how she is still a teacher is beyond me.

Easily one of the biggest bullies I have ever seen as a teacher. Spends more time on her cell phone than she does interacting with class. To call her a "teacher" is an insult to every decent teacher everywhere. Manual should be ashamed that she is teaching there.

I've heard really bad things about Finley and was really scared the first day, but she's really CHILL and funny. I might be wrong because I'm still taking her class right now but she lets us eat and stuff, and she makes us write a page of things everyday. sometimes they are about things we're doing in class, sometimes just really helpful quotes. her goal for us is to be able to write a page in 10 min and writing a page every class is pretty hard but i think its a good practice for SAT

Nicole Finley is literally the worst teacher I have ever had. I have had a variety of bad teachers, but she beats all of them. During my class I took with her, she was bad in multiple ways. Everyone in DuPont Manual knows that teaching study skills is the equivalent to simply "babysitting children". She treats it like every kid is terrible and like they have bad behavior around others. What I recommend to her is that she lose her strictness and thinks about other students' feelings.

In the beginning, it seemed like we were learning nothing. The thing is we did cover A LOT of course material, Mrs. Finley just made it fun and camouflaged it very well. She can get "off topic," but at the end of the day, you know something more.

She is THE worst teacher; she cannot teach at all. She goes off on tangents about anything and everything other than English. I'm pretty sure I know more about her family than I know about English. She gives time consuming projects near AP test week

Remarkably ignorant and utterly dishonest. If your kid is at duPont Manual, they deserve better. When administrators deny that this teacher is an ongoing problem, they are flat-out lying. She is an ongoing disaster, and they know it.

This year with Finley has been "interesting" to say the least. She seems to have absolutely no knowledge of the English language at ALL. Favoritism is extremely apparent and I have not learned anything about grammar or English. I have, however learned every single detail about her life. I literally could write a biography on this woman. Each class is filled with a tangent of her college days, her kids, or whatever random topic she feels the need to discuss that day. Worst teacher ever.

Finley is a really nice person and it comes across as if she really wants to care about her student but there is intent and actually action. She never teaches she simply reads from online power points you can find from google and from our resource books. She assigns massive assignments and never gives direct feedback. Many students worry over their grades in her class when they should be preparing for tests like the SAT ACT

I wake up every red day morning and dread her class. She doesn't teach anything, she merely skims over certain subjects and then tests you on them. She is not flexible with her students at all. She also doesn't take into consideration that her students have other classes in addition to very busy schedules. I do not feel prepared for the end of course exam at all. She is not clear with her students on due dates. I am very stressed about her class in ways unnecessary. One of the worst at manual.

I've never had a teacher take so much time out of her day to help my child. I hope my younger child has her next year! She values teaching and the importance of education. All of us had a wonderful experience.

I really enjoyed Ms. Finley's class! I think that she is a very down to earth teacher who really cares about her students. She helped me raise my ACT score 3 point! Having us do weekly vocabulary really helped me. I think that some people might have problems with her but not because of how she teaches. She's really smart and wise. I have never had a teacher take as much time out to help me as she has. Most kids that complain just don't like having to do work. Stop whining.

Mrs. Finley might try to teach, but it is always out of a book and never interesting at all. I had her and HONESTLY, all I saw her do was talk on her cell phone and try to tell us as freshmen that we weren;t adequate for her. Never learned a thing.
