Worst teacher I have ever had. She gives busy work. That's it. She is arrogant and really not that knowledgeable on English or literature beyond being an extreme copy-writer. Abbott almost made me hate English but my college professors who actually love what they are teaching and respect their students helped me out. She should have retired ages upon ages ago. The people who say she was great and inspirational are sheeple.
She got the job done and didnt take any crap. She always said to me Drew I am not wearing my high boots today :) and also that I was S O L sure out of luck haha she was awesome. She retired lasst year however.
A fantastic teacher. Though at times challenging, I learned more from Ms. Abbot than any other professor under whom I studied. She will push your student to do better, and develop their writing skills
After two years, I love Mrs. Abbott. My record for staying up doing homework for her class is 3:30am but I bounce back smiling because she has taught us so much. Take the class and you wont regret it.
Without her class, I wouldn't have made it to grad school. I wish some of my other teachers had pushed me as hard as she did.
Ms. Abbott is a faboulous teacher... but gives alot of work and preps her students for college like no other. All of her students will be and are glad that they have had her.
Very hard teacher. Excellent prep for college bound students. Instructions can be ambigious at times. This is especially true with T/F tests.
Very good teacher. Stresses you out like no other but for a good reason. You will hate the class but you will be thankful afterwards.
Teacher does poor explaining, is prone to wild tangents, teaches w/bias's, grades based on like or dislike of the student.
A true asset to the school. Hundreds of kids probably think of her as the person who really taught them to read and write.
One of the greatest teachers I've ever had. She prepares her students for real life very well.
Reality check. This is the real world. Sorry if she's not going to sugar coat it for you. But if you take the time to learn, she will open many doors of life.
Ms. Abbott, what can i say, she worked me harder then any other teacher but I came out far better then when i entered! i wouldn't be the person i am withouther
Too bad she didn't teach spanish. Eventhough this teacher was hard, she is the best English Teacher I ever had. She taught me how to be a great writer.
