Mr Olive is the reason I pursued a degree in Math, which, until being disabled in 2008, had served me well. His teaching of PreCalc had me set well into my 2nd semester of Calculus at college. Anyone who discredits Mr Olive saying that he isn't a good teacher simply isn't applying themselves in this class.
Odd guy, but nice enough as long as you didn't mouth off. Little hard to understand for most, but you'll adjust. My advice? Find a brainiac to help you out.
Mr. Olive is the kind of guy where his bark is worse than his bite: if you earn his respect by trying and thinking, he'll genuinely care about your success. '98
Olive lets you figure out how to do work on your own, he doesn't tell you what 2+2 is, so class isn't boring. He really helped me think and do better on SATs!
He really helped me understand geo, so everyone who said he was a bad teacher must have been bad students. Don't blame your stupidity on him!
Olive even has his head on the honors precal shirt, how can he be that bad?
Good teacher, amusing class. Did yell RAINMAN RAINMAN RAINMAN at me once, but it was all in good fun.
dude, this guy has problems, and loves to give out lates
He was an awful geo teacher. i think he's basically a good guy, but he has problems functioning socially and comes off as a jerk
I can't stand you. You suck. I wish other teachers weren't the planning center that time i went in to steal your 30 year service award.
I couldnt stand him at the time, but two years later, looking back, Mr. Olive was an amazing teacher, and he really cared about seeing me succeed and helping me
