- pretty cool guy and he knows his stuff, but his tests are insane and his lessons are incomprehensible. he gives lots of EC to make up for his challenging class so you can sleep through all the lectures (most people do) and still get an A

- SUCH A BEAST! His class is legit my favorite; he makes chem so much fun and so easy to understand. Tests are fine if you study the lecture notes and pace yourself. Do the extra credit!!!

An amazing teacher for AP or regular chem. I was lucky enough to have him for Summer Chem and AP the next year. His tests are hard, but he gives so many assignments with easy points and brainteasers for extra credit that it compensates. Make sure you do all the work on your own, otherwise you will be screwed (and yes, that is in his own words)(permalink) (report)

really funny and has great stories to tell! not necessarily the easiest or best teacher, but out-of-class help is available if you are willing to put the extra effort in it: he doesnt usually clarify things during class. I recommend him for Chemistry 1 but not for AP Chemistry... i had him for both.(permalink) (report)

Although I had some trouble, I got used to his style at the end of the year. He's a great teacher and his tests are challenging!!! But you learn soooo much more with him.(permalink) (report)

I was in his summer chem class, and everything he explained made sense the first time he said it. The tests are hard, though.. it's a good thing the tests are curved(permalink) (report)

Had him for summer chem. He taught all the hard topics, so they were confusing, but he was very clear and willing to answer questions. He can be insensitive sometimes, and his tests are impossible. Good luck getting a B on a test.(permalink) (report)
