I've been a writer/editor for 18 years thanks to the love of writing Devlin instilled in me. I didn't appreciate the class until 10 years later and I was no teacher's pet. I owe my career to her.
she is really a great person if you got toknow her. i think teaching wasnt the thing for her though.........
She doesnt teach at EHS anymore, She's retired 2008-2009
She doesn't teach. She assigns trivial assignments. She doesn't grade essays, so you don't know if you're progressing as a writer. If you have her, you'll be behind in AP English as a Junior. Lousy.
she doesn,t teach you a single thing the entire year. we read pointless articles and she doesn't explain anything. she tells you about something and will collect it literally two or three months later
she has to be the worst honors teacher ever. she's unclear, she doesn't teach and i haven't learned a thing all year. her grading is very unclear and she doesn't do a thing about it.
her class is a bore... zZzZzZz... and she has multiple personalities. she's always late to class...
Omg this teacher needs to retire! For the English II H this year, beware! Last years class, we saw only two of our essays we wrote at least four months earlier!
as a person she is excellent. as a teacher she is crap. i havent learned a thing in her classs except how to ignore teachers in order to sleep
she's a bit tough on her students, but after 6 years i've realized that's only because she's the only teacher that really cares about you
Honestly it's been 16 years since my days at EHS. But I can remember Ms. Devlin as being a really good teacher, wheres I can't even remember the names of others
