Pat LaFortune happens to be very bad at teaching. The majority of what and how he grades isn't related to history at all. The first assignment of the year was worth 20 points. I got 15/20 and was upset with why, so naturally, I asked why I was marked off 5 points. On the first paper of the entire year I got 75% because I put "Lafortune" not "LaFortune." This pretty much summarizes what he is like as a teacher, his class is based on the irrelevant things. He isn't helpful or knowledgable either.
Has no idea what he is doing, very bias and racist. Has no respect for students and doesn't grade essays based on information but only how the student correctly formats the essay. (He does not even read the essays, I could write LaFortune is the worse teacher in the world and he would have no idea). His formatting is not even a real type of formatting pretty sure he just made it up so he can mark up off on it. Pat Lafortune is rude, unprofessional, immature, and unqualified for his job.
I don't think he knows what he is talking about. The information he gives you is something that you see on the History Channel. He honestly does not have much knowledge in the subject.
Grumpy old man that doesn't know a thing about history.
if you do track, it doesn't help. i did track and did well in it and he's giving me a c. needs to be more clear about everything in his class. he's very unclear about is on tests.
When talking about events, he will make up a date that could easily be found in our book. i have been marked down for doing more than i was suppose to and not doing something that he never tld us 2 do
This man has no idea what he is doing. His tests are not clear what so ever. He says you can use notes, but then the day of the test he says you can't. Horrible teacher.
