She's tough & fair & passionate. The intensity may be too much for those who want to skate on by. Uh, no skating here. You actually have to commit a bit of effort. I had top grades until I took her class. Then I got a C and had to work hard to get out of that hole. Taught me real study skills. Thank you.

madame maier is very passionate about french and teaching it, and she knows its grammar extremely well. she doesn't go off a textbook but instead does review and teaches new material by explaining it

Not a great teacher. Nice to some people, but only the good students. Loves french but can't explain it well. Didn't learn much in her class, but some things stuck. Like vocab (bidet, anyone?)

fairly nice, but is not too great with explaining conjugation and grammar. assumes you understand. vocab learning method is works though. loves the language, but once she starts with politics.. oh man

Such an amazing teacher that she doesn't even need books to teach. She adores her subject, is very passionate and truly wants you to succeed (thats why she gets so temperamental if you slack off!)

I used to be one of her favorites until I dropped out, then she never spoke to me again. Anyway, for those of you who think she teaches pointless vocab, wait until you go to France, thought you'd never need to know how to say "esophagus"? Think again
