Heeg is the best. too funny
Mr. Heeg is a nice guy, and very funny, but I don't think my learning style is compatible with his teaching style. I prefer teachers that are more clear and organized, and he tells really long random stories that make me wonder just how much history channel he watches, all just to make a simple point that could've been said in a much shorter amount of time. It might help some students, but I think it hinders me more than it aids my learning. Sorry, I just need enforced focus to do well.
FANTASTIC teacher. I have him for AP World and as long as you study your notes and pay attention, it's easy to get a good grade. Plus, he's hilarious. Watch out for cell phone use ("Illegal!") and silences ("Wooow. This is getting awkwaaard")
mr heeg is my best friend. he is so funny. sometimes we (really just me) would sing songs in his class.
Mr. Heeg, keep your promise and name your child Garibaldi!
Mr. Heeg impressed me with his extensive knowledge of World History. He was always willing to explain something more fully (when prompted by questions). His stories made the material easier to remember and brightened the class a little. I do have to say though, I am not really a history person and therefore found his class somewhat dull. He loaded his presentations with so many facts that I was never sure what was important...I ended up with pages and pages of notes for what could have been very few.
Ridiculously awesome. He goes off on these fabulous tangents, so both the learning is fabulous and he is fabulous. I just can't say enough about how awesome he is. I miss him so much!!
He's a a great man teaching a greta subject ^_^ , cara
Best Social studies teacher period. Funny clear I love his outlines and how we take notes. Plus hes very nice and an easy grader.
Funniest man to ever walk the halls of RM, beats Fahrner by a mile. He's also a good teacher with stories by the bucket
he's fantastic at what he does... it takes alot to come back to your own HS to teach. his "lame" jokes make the class interesting and his stories are awesome!
Mr. Heeg is an amazing teacher. Finds ways to make some boring history fun, and anyone who thinks his jokes are lame doesn't get how truly awesome they are.
His stories made me crack up, and his sarcasm was the best. He was a really nice guy, pretty much.
I am now a history major in college about to graduate, and I owe my love of history to Mr Heeg. Fabulous teacher.
Mr. Heeg's class is GREAT. It's definately the best 1st period I've had in high school. He tries to be funny and make it fun and he ususally does
hes a realyl good teacher. this is the 1st time ive liked history since like 4th grade
Fun, but those quizzes are annoying and hard for people who can't remember things from just reading and who don't want to cheat like the rest of the class.
mr. heeg and his tangents made my junior year. my friends and i still talk about the "dirty dozen" and his "t-shirt" stories
Apparently he really likes RM...Me and some of my class of '03 cohorts were his favorite students...*wink wink. He let us decorate his class room...good times.
I have had him for AP Modern World and Ancient and Medieval History. Though his lectures can be a bit dull after a while, his "tangents" are always nice.
He is a VERY good teacher, RM graduate. Mr. Heeg is coool
Good teacher, you have to take a lot of notes but he makes them fun
very very good teacher, tangents = fun..."if you drop a suit off at the dry cleaner...would the dry cleaner person use it before cleaning it and giving it back?
Very odd....but very funny. And he loves his students and teaching
his corny jokes and irrelevant tangents make class so fun! and it's history class!
heegy is the coooooolest. he's one of the best teachers i've ever had.
