After experiencing my first college English class I realized just how much Mr. Biggs helped me. He was by far one of the best teachers I have ever had, and that goes for all subjects. He helped my become more confident in my writing and his unwillingness to go easy was something that I really needed and has benefited me so much. Because of Mr. Biggs, I am happy to say that I received an A in my first college English class.
Biggs is one of the best teachers I've ever had. He's funny but not inappropriate. He's always ready to help you with your writing and he's very passionate about the literature the class reads. You definitely can't breeze through the class but I believe that is indicative of a fantastic teacher. He makes Moby Dick fun to read, and that's saying a lot. I never always saw eye-to-eye with him but he respected my right to have an opinion. My favorite class in high school, undoubtedly.
Honestly he's one of the most passionate teachers I've met over the course of high school; however, he lets his personal beliefs cloud his judgement. He also tends to pick favorites; so if you don't meet his expectations at writing or what not, he's not going to help you improve, he will only criticize you indirectly and push you aside for the rest of the year. His class is fun to take though and he prepares his students well for the AP test.
One of the most passionate teachers...no, people I have ever met. He clearly knows his material well and the class is always fun and fascinating. Even though the coursework was hard and the AP Exam was demanding, he prepares you well or at least enough to make you want to stay in his class without dropping. One of the best teachers I have ever had.
There's a magical feeling when you walk into this room. It's something I've never quite felt in any other classroom. Biggs makes English such an incredible topic to study. Whoever says otherwise is quite frankly a lunatic.
Definitely my favorite teacher of all time! He has helped me with my writing immensely.
Awesome guy, awesome teacher. If you do the work you're supposed to do and WHEN you're supposed to, the class isn't that hard and the work load is fair. He's a sweet guy--his geeky enthusiasm is adorable! (APLit)
Biggs is amazing! His AP Lit class really helps with further development of writing skills that pay off immensely in college. His grading is tough but fair, and he always has an explanation for the grade he gives. Also, if th
Best teacher I have ever had. Really nice guy and even helped me out with a paper when I was a senior after I left his class.
Biggs is incredibly insightful and has already helped me improve my writing without even really looking at it yet. He's incredible and enthusiastic.
Biggs is seriously one of the best teachers ever. he has a heart of gold and really cares about his students! I love you biggs!!!!
I love Biggs! He makes learning fun and exciting.I remember the first week he said" Being early is on time and being on time is late, being late is unexceptable". Good thing im usually the first one in class. Love u Biggs:)
Mr. Biggs was awesome. I hated The Stranger, but all the other books we read made up for it. Thanks for such a great senior year.
Most amazing teacher I have ever had in all of my schooling career. The discussions were incredible, insightful, and extremely open-ended. They truly caused many students to come to their own conclusions. Incredible person to
Class of 02 Graduate, I really liked having Mr. Biggs. He also gave wet-willies to people who passed out in class. Take one good guess as to how I know that one.
Waaaay overrated. There is nothing special about Biggs or his classes. He is pretty much on the same level as every other English teacher in high school.
Wow, he is my favorite teacher! He likes to actually get to know his students, its great! He's a hard grader, but you learn so much! BEST TEACHER EVER! I'd take ap lit just to have him again.
Biggs is amazing! one of the best teachers at aliso. that girl that wrote the book about aliso and biggs is a nut job because if you had to pick a teacher that acted the way she said, it wouldnt even be close to biggs! biggs
Great teacher. Class is difficult but you learn so much about life. Btw he doesn't teach to the AP test. Great stories...good discussions. U'll get sick of fate vs. free will in AP lit.
VERY Stubborn teacher, but has good discussions. Wants you to voice your opinion but really only opens himself to his. A teachers that believes in the 'right anwser'
most definitely one of the best teachers I've ever had. inspired me to teach myself.
one of the greatest teacher. i miss being in his class.
MR BIGSS! HE's AWESOME!! I had him for summer school when i was going to become a freshman and now im a junior, and i really enjoyed his class and the way he teaches students!
This is from the person who said he was stubborn. Now that i have finished his class, I look back and see how amazing a teacher he really is. The best teacher i have ever had!!!!
Very very good discussions on books we are reading. love them
He is really stubborn. He wants you to voice your own opinions, yet he corners you into his own thoughts. Well, I gues that's your choice anyway. He can be oblivious the the truth.
sorta wacky personality, but he's ebullient, ecstatic, and spontaneous...you never know what to expect
LOVE HIM!!! wonderful teacher... he gets kids involved. really so good.
He was one of my favorite teachers at Aliso, I still keep in contact with him. The books he chose for us to read still make me think.
