I don't know what these these tools are talking about. No, he's not grading worksheets and passing them back with points. Yes, I have learned more about writing than from anyone yet. No, he doesn't write much on your essay. Yes, you do go and meet with him and talk about your writing for like twenty minutes. A pain, but way helpful. Makes it worth it. You have to work to get the A.
All essays all the time. You have to go in and see him for help.
Star Wars fan. Can get him off topic by asking who shot first, Solo or Greedo.Good writing teacher.
Lack of transparent/clear grading system. Rarely returns work. Does not explain why you received a grade you received, furthermore he does not write any criticism or suggestions on your graded assignments. Very disrespectful too - not friendly and socially inept. For instance I was speaking to him one time, and in the midst of my sentence he turned around and ignored me. I have had three excellent English teachers prior to Mr. Easton, and it is a shame that my last English class was a bad one.
Not an easy teacher. He doesn't distribute grades in class.
Laziest teacher I ever had and one of the worst. He has already missed 7-8 days of school and it's only the first quarter. He is not good at giving back graded homework and is very disorganized. He isn't clear about what we are learning, our assigned homework or grades. Your grade could be good or bad but you won't know because he hasn't given anything back.
Very laid back, generally a cool teacher. Not the best with returning graded homework. Very nice though. Braugh!
I am SO lucky to have had Mr. Easton as a teacher. He was more helpful than anyone else. Awesome guy!
No reading over Winter Break...sweet! Wish more teachers would do that.
Helped lots with college essay. Won't offer help in class, see him in the Annex.
He wasn't the most knowledgeable teacher, and I didn't learn a ton, but it was a fun class overall.
Will collect and grade annotations without telling you.
He gave me the impression that he doesn't care about his students as individuals and wont change his teaching methods to acomodate the different personalities of them. Not very friendly either.
expects you to think. you will work. don't talk to him in class, nice in office. get him to talk outside of class, is cool. will listen. great breaks if you are honest, he likes you, and he can tell.
you must go in for help for good grades on the essays, because his style of writing is interesting to say the least. He wants it his way, so talking to him is a good idea.
I think he arrogant and unhelpful. He seemed to enjoy tearing down a student's efforts rather than trying to help them improve. One of the worst teachers I have ever had.
he has us watch movies in class to learn, instead of teaching us. we watch movies about grammar while he sits and grades things instead of teaching us.he isnt at all a good teacher
A good teacher, some found him hard but I really didn't. Still, a really really wierd guy...really wierd.
Reads into things too much kinda sketchy not my fave definately picks favorites
Easy teacher? No. Fun teacher? Yes? Lots of As? No. Learned TONS? Yes. Frowny faces=C or Bs. LOL to those!
Oh, and you don't write ratings over the summer? LOL! Mr. E WAY cool!!! Don't believe everything you read?
mr. easton has no consistency in his grading, and plus he makes us read stuff and then just forgets about it, so you end up doing a lot of work for nothing!
He may be a hard teacher, but Mr. Easton is also a good teacher and a nice guy. Furthermore, his class is very fun and you learn a lot.
why do you try to make your class the only one in your pupils lives???
